Starlight Theater and Cafe

The food is pretty good. I recommend french fries with truffle. The stuff is mostly good. Sometimes I feel rushed to be done with, but you get used to it. You can watch a movie before or after. This is one of a very few places that ID just if you want to drink alcohol, not right at the door. The atmosphere is lovely!

Starlight is the hidden gem on Nantucket island! A secret garden in the historic district, steps from Main Street, Starlight's food and bar offer some of the best eats and drinks on the island. From sliders to homemade onion rings, fresh salads and tasty deserts, we make sure to visit Starlight often. Sitting in their renovated theater, you feel like you are part of the movie. Intimate and cozy, it is a movie watching experience you don't get too often anymore. The fact that you can take a cocktail in with you to drink as you watch is just an added bonus!

I really don't know what happened to this place- I used to come here on the regular, even do my homework when I was in high school, for /years/, and was gone for two... I return, and the people that worked there that I used to find kind have been incredibly rude to me the last several times I've been, and the quality of the food has gone terribly down from what it used to be. Brought a food complaint recently to the waitress that I've known for ages and was immediately met with rudeness and a cold shoulder. I was truly hoping to remain a loyal patron for as long as I remained on island, but sadly, I think this can no longer be the case. What a shame.

Cuban was extremely tasty, and the mac and cheese was yummy. Portions are big, and staff was great. Made mac and cheese to order, because one diner has diet restrictions.

Great service . Running to catch the ferry and they got us in and out on time. Some of the best clam chowder on the island.

The people are incredibly friendly and the food was some of the best I had on Nantucket. The theater is dated, but having some wine with the movie is great.
