Description

STATE POLICE ASSOCIATION OF MASSACHUSETTS (SPAM) BENEVOLENT FUND
Assisting troopers, sergeants, and their families

What is the SPAM Benevolent Fund?

The SPAM Benevolent Fund was created by the State Police Association of Massachusetts in 2010. The State Police Association of Massachusetts (SPAM) is the only legally recognized bargaining unit for troopers and sergeants of the Massachusetts State Police. At the time of the SPAM Benevolent Fund’s inception in 2010, members of the SPAM Executive Board determined that the time had come to set up a fund that would enable us to assist our troopers, sergeants, and their families in certain times of need. Our goal is to provide assistance to SPAM members who are unable to perform their duties due to extended illness or injury, and assist with other public safety tragedies. We also award fifteen scholarships annually to eligible children and or dependents of our members.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. The SPAM Benevolent Fund is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) charity and your contributions are tax deductible.

Where does my donation go?
The SPAM Benevolent Fund benefits our troopers, sergeants, and their families, as well as other victims of tragedy from the law enforcement community. The SPAM Benevolent Fund does not spend money from donations on overhead and administrative costs such as salaries or marketing fees. 100% of your donations go directly to the cause of helping SPAM members and their families, and other critical situations in the public safety community.
