We had two rooms booked for our family trip. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean as well the kitchen was stocked with items to cook and clean. The living area had stained carpet and holes in the couch which was just unexceptionable. No TV in one of the bedrooms which was a big problem. Tile in the shower was popping off. The elevators were gross...smelly! We didn’t bother call the local person because it would have been a hassle. I really wanted to like Stay Alfred.....the staff on the phone when booking were amazing and helped out booking our trip. Please Stay Alfred fix these issues. It appeared you had many rooms in this building...spoke with a few people and they too said they booked your rooms. I hope the investors see this review and walk through this property and get it up to standards. Beds are like a Marriott, the living space is like a Best Western and I wanted Stay Alfred to be like A Loft!
I love staying in an apartment while on vacation, but please install drapes! This is what it looks like in the room at night! I walked to the corner and had someone turn on the lamp in the room! Those thin shades are too thin! I could see the person easily! I'm not even going to discuss the bathroom. I'll say this much it was clean. Also a small chair in each bedroom would be nice. The heating system is so loud that you can't even hear to talk while it's on! I do not think that I will ever have another Stay Alfred experience! Once was definitely enough!
Room was really clean and cute for the weekend! There is a lot of noise at night but you have to expect that when staying in the bustle of downtown, and it was kind of them to supply eye masks and ear plugs. The building felt safe because you need an access code/key card to get inside and there was a security guard stationed all night. Can’t wait to visit again!
Room was clean, nicely decorated and fully stocked. Noise level was extremely loud and hard to get any sleep. Stay Alfred staff was amazing that we dealt with prior to checking in so was hopeful for a better outcome. We ended up leaving a day early and getting a hotel room.
Do not trust the pictures if you are booking this place through Stay Alfred!!! I'm honestly trying to understand how others possibly rated this property with more than two stars...??? While centrally located and extremely convenient to lots of bars and restaurants, I would not recommend this place as comfortable or inviting for anyone over 18 years old. As noted by others, there is enough street noise to completely disrupt sleep. On top of which, the blinds barely shield enough to feel comfortable changing in the bedroom, much less to block out any light from the streetlights that glare right in. The bed is squeaky with every movement and hard -- as were the pillows, sheets. The rest of the furniture and decor followed suit, cheap. Plus, I can't say it's the cleanest placed I've ever stayed, on top of having an unpleasant smell of someone else's cooking, which did not dissipate during our stay -- something that the airfreshener on the wall lead me to believe is not a one-time problem. After taking a look at the rusted and caked over shower head and dirty sink, I decided I'd be cleaner not taking one at all. Would rate this place closer to a Super 8 Motel.
Elevator in the building had marks & dirty carpet. The carpet in the hall had pet stains & smelly. Although the apartment was spacious, the scruff marks, dust in the air vents, tile missing in the bathroom shower, windows with great views dirty and window sills dusty, dirty stained area rug and chipped dishes made the apartment feel unclean. It really needs to be spruced up. We checked out after one nite. Savannah manager of Stay Alfred came over but really didn’t want to hear what we thought was wrong, just advised that we could move somewhere else & not be charged for the next 2 nights. I was Advise that Stay Alfred had no properties that would make us happy. I had Used stay Alfred in Phoenix and the apartments were great. Res office is great, but the properties are all different and the indifference of the Savannah manager, I will Not Stay Alfred again. Almost ruined our holiday.
We had a great stay and loved the apartment. The only problems we had were that the tiles in shower on floor were coming loose and were popping out. The window shades in bedrooms did not block out the morning sunlight . Apartment was clean and location was perfect! We would stay again !
Fantastic, Central location. No parking though. Clean and spacious. For 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom description, there are actually 2 toilets so Fab for small families. Our room was on the 4th floor, we eventually got used to the street noise and tolling bells of St John cathedral. What was tough getting used to was the aircon noise. It really gets LOUD
Wonderful room. Two rooms, one had a queen bed and the other had a king. The beds were extremely comfortable and there were more than enough pillows provided. There was a full kitchen and dining area. There was also a washer and dryer in the actual suite. If I had one complaint, it would be that there were very few tv stations, but that wasn't an issue because there was the ability to stream programming through the Roku tv. Would definitely stay here again.
Decent. Nice sized beds. Spacious rooms. Not as nice looking in person than what was shown on the pictures. Also water doesn't get very hot so showers are warm at best. Cable provided only offers 4 channels which are the local ones.
