Great places with healthy options of bowls, sandwiches, coffee and smoothies. If you are vegan, make sure to specify for no honey to be added to your bowl, it wasn’t on the item description of the one I ordered and it was added as extra.
Good atmosphere, good music, clean, good food. Employees are nice and welcoming. Signage is a bit small and hardly to attract me in the beginning.
Absolutely delicious & perfect if you're looking for a healthier alternative to your typical sandwich shop. Great atmosphere and has outdoor seating
This is a small cafe attached to a ice hockey rink, which I was not aware of when I first found this place to go to, but it was still quite good. It was one of the only places that was open on Monday afternoon in Worcester. The sandwiches were good but small, and the coffee was good. The smoothies are good, but not good for meal replacement if that is what you are looking for.
Staffed by immature and careless young people who are more interested in joking and laughing with one another than they are in making quality food for their customers. From what I can tell this place always uses extremely unripe bananas for their bowls and smoothies, which can lead to digestive issues and cramping. I tried going here 5 separate times and the staff and food was consistently as noted above. Also, their fruit smoothies are priced pretty high given the portion size and ingredients. I wouldn't say stay away, but it's not a place I'd highly recommend either.
Today on my lunch break I placed my usual order online, the Mediterranean bowl. Right after the order was placed I received a call from AJ advising me that they no longer have that order as an option, he proceeded to inform me of similar options. His customer service was extremely professional and helpful. I ordered the green goddess bowl which was ready literally within five minutes upon picking it up. He also discounted the price due to the online order inconvenience. I appreciated his help and absolutely love going to steam energy cafe. Totally recommend the green goddess bowl, its so good!
I will never step foot in this place again. Last week, I bought a salad. It was in my fridge for less than 24 hours and it started stinking and had to be tossed in the trash. Today, I brought two breakfast sandwiches and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate tasted like water and there was a hair on one of the sandwiches. I spoke to the manager, AJ, whose attitude was smart alecky and completely unprofessional, to return the food and drink. The customer service and food are terrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
One of the best places I have been to for a nice sweet snack like the acai bowls or the smoothies without it being too unhealthy. Food is great to. They have options for everybody which is nice. Service is good to
I went to the steam energy cafe for the first time and I was very disappointed. I wanted an acai bowl, but I have a very bad allergy to nuts and told them. When I said this they told me I should just not get the bowl. They made it seem like there was not a separate blender for people with allergies. I think that their health options are great but if you have a nut allergy your choices are very limited.
I went at Steam today for the first time and I ordered an espresso macchiato. Pros: 1. I really liked the atmosphere there. This place was full of college kids which were there because of the ice center. 2. I only tried the espresso macchiato and it was delicious. 3. The staff was very friendly. Cons: 1. One thing that got my attentionand to the other person with me it was the price. It cost me $3 for an espresso macchiato. Some similar coffee shops in town have lower prices. For example at Brew on the grid which is closer to where I work, I pay $1.85 for a double espresso macchiato. Maybe for some people this difference is negligible but not for me. Am I going again at Steam? Of course I am but I have to be careful when I get my coffee.
