DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Wondering why this apartment complex has such poor reviews? They could care less about their property or the people who live in. If you like weeks without having things fixed, your car being broken into multiple times, loud music at all times of night, or animals constantly getting into the vents? This is the place for you. Over five years of residency and then I get hit with a termination fee. I ask for an exception and I get a “tough luck”. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
Hey Paula, we have actually had a conversation in the past. And I must say it took the longest for them to fix the problem and as we are speaking some problems haven’t still been fix because it is not an “emergency” have been living at this apartment for a year and about 5 months now. And since I moved in my balcony door hasn’t still been fixed, my washing machine and dryer don’t work, my friend door locks us in every other two days but they didn’t fix that. I remember I had to fix my bathtub because I was tired of waiting. I moved into a clogged bathtub full of hair!!!! Maintenance is trash. Why are you understaffed? But you are not hiring? Maybe if you are willing to pay your employees their worth they will do their jobs. Let’s not even get the part that no one picks up the damn phone. Tell me why one of your maintenance guy try to charge me to unlock my door for the first time . I was shocked cause what??? Then wanting me to cash app it to him?? To add to it they will always be quick to embarrass you when you haven’t paid your bills. The management has a weak structure. Hire people like me and my friend that are willing to work. We will pick up the phone, make sure everyone maintenance issues are fixed, create fun event to bring the community together, make sure my manger don’t miss a scheduled appointment, create a more structured management system for the company to thrive and make our customers happy. Fun fact a hand full of residents are staying in that apartment without a renewed lease! Is has to do with management!!!! Hire people who are willing to do the work!
I’m a former employee of Steeplechase. The residents here need an exorcism. My staff was a family and one of the most knowledgeable teams I’ve had. Why did I leave? The residents. The entitlement and aggression on a daily basis. The being angry and yelling at the staff when they haven’t met their financial obligation. Would you walk into a jiffylube and demand a tire rotation at that very moment? No. Do you walk into a doctors office and demand to be seen? No. It’s no different with a management office. Yes, they’re short staffed. Why because we didn’t want to send unqualified people into your homes or have unqualified people handling your personal information. The property manager is constantly working, even when off. She’s pulled everywhere. We try to be as polite as possible, but it’s hard to do with residents talking to you like servants constantly. The residents here will push and push like no property I’ve ever worked at in my 10 years. They will ask you the same question in 10 different ways in hopes to get over on you and get a rent concession or a lower renewal. Be real half of you in these reviews are the problem and why I left. I have never had issues with residents prior to these at Steeplechase. The property manager had a resident stalk her, I think it was over his waterbillwhich by the way, we have no control over. He stalked and harassed her using numerous emails. So imagine needing to put a smile on for miserable people all day. You’re never going to be happy anywhere you go. Oh! I forgot to mention, the residents who complain about the mice and roaches, in most circumstances had the nastiest apartments. Food left on the counter, literal dirt on the walls. I’m not even sure how a new carpet turns black within a year. Really, before you leave a review, take a look within.
This has been the worst management i have ever experienced. Everyone in that office is soo rude, especially the manager. They have no regard whatsoever for their residents. Their customer service sucks, they don't even pick up the phones unless you go to the office directly. I expect more from the dense manager who drives a decrepit car that sounds like a thousand frogs farting in unison, but she is the most unprofessional of them all. I have witnessed her disrespect residents about 3 times and when i tried to interject she indirectly tells me to shut up and mind my business. I don't think anybody deserves to be spoken to like that, especially from someone as broke as she is. Please respect people, i understand your job can be very stressful at times, but i'm sorry that's what you signed up for, your residents are NOT the cause of your predicaments. DO BETTER! In all honesty, other than the management and awul people at the office, the apartment is wonderful! Its very safe, and very peaceful out here. No rodents, very clean too. I would recommend! They just need to change their manager.
Let’s get into the manager Dana very disrespectful I had to lean on her she don’t know how to talk to people & then goes to say she apologize & that’s how she talk. We both grown Idgaf if the job is to much pressure get another one. Paula was very sweet understanding patient & helpful! Never had any problems with her!! But overall I never experienced mice after 2years after started to hear racoons crawling in the walls. Very disturbing, Maintenance started slacking I had to lean on the manager again she lied & said they fixed it aint fix nothing until I applied pressure! It’s very ghetto now.
I have been living here about 3yrs and every summer my deck is swaming with bees I complain but they do nothing about it All they do is spray and they come right back They won't even open the roof and remove the beehive I can't sit out on the deck because of the bees. My son has been stung three times from bees and they are the big ones They never answer the phone and when they do they are very nasty. Miss Dana is the nastiest one She always have an attitude and when you try to explain to her the situation she tries to rush you off the phone They need new management
Drug deals happening in the hallways and in front of the apartment complexes on Spring Head Court and Steeplechase management does nothing about it! There are children who live in these apartments!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!! As a woman and a parent, I fear for myself and my child’s safety everyday.
I moved here in May of 2022 and been here since and haven’t had any issues besides my inconsiderate upstairs neighbors lol with the loud stomping. Other than that the leasing agents and assistant manager Paula has been nothing but kind, professional and helpful. Everyone in the office has been great including Jordan and Sierra. The maintenance team handles their business and the property remains clean and I don’t have any concerns with anyone stealing. Fingers crossed lol but I really like the property and everything is in walking distance and I mean literally everything you need is not far.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COMMUNITY!! I moved in January 17, 2023 and I must say that I have had a pleasant experience since the application process. The staff there are courteous, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond for their residents!! The community its self is always in immaculate condition.
Do not waste your money, time, etc. I moved in November 2022 and it hasn’t even been a full YEAR yet and I am so ready to leave. 1 No one EVER answers the phone at the leasing office. You would have to call about 5+ times to even speak to someone and most likely you won’t get an answer. 2The Maintenance team never shows up, and they lie about orders being completed. When I moved in, one of the maintenance men tried to come into my unit WITHOUT knocking, because he claimed that the didn’t know anyone had moved in yet So there is definitely a LACK of communication across the entire board! 3If there is a huge issue or anything going on in the community, shouldn’t the tenants be NOTIFIED about it as soon as possible? I was told over the phone by a maintenance technician that he would come to my unit on Monday 2/5/23 to take care of my tickets….no one ever showed up. And I’ve been calling the leasing office for the last few days to have my mailbox fixed. And it wasn’t. I spoke to the property manager Dana Fields 2/9/23 regarding the lack of communication, and my mailbox, I was told someone would come out to fix it. I get home after work the following day, only to come home and see my mailbox wide open and STILL not fixed. My partner and I will not be renewing our lease when it is up in November of this year. Please save yourself the trouble.
