Employees were rude and made me feel like I was in the way, one lady told my sister to put the clothes she was trying on back where she got them and that would be easy for everyone. Also there were two different price tags on an item I purchased without realizing at the time I was charged the higher of the two. I planned on spending a bit of $$ here but now plan to return items purchased and NEVER return. Macy's has a better selection and definitely better sale prices. Most unhappy!!!!
Nice store. Decent selection but I found shopping here a bit annoying. Very little staff is available to answer questions or provide assistance and there are very few if any carts to help carry your merchandise and the isles are often narrow. I know, I sound like a whiner. For those who frequent this store this isn't news and they don't seem to care. My wife likes it here because she's had some success finding what she wants. I saw some jackets but the men's department was deserted ... except for me.
I can truly say "I have never had a bad experience at any Stein Mart, but I find the Stuart store personal expceptional. So helpful, friendly, and competent". There Red Dot specials are always amazing!
In the shoe clearance rack was a pair of sketchers for 59.95. I looked at a regularly priced pair of sketchers, price? 59.95. I asked to speak to a manager. Was told “ let me check the price,” oddly enough it was 59.95. So she went in the back and returned to tell me that when they have only 2 or 3 left of a style, they put them in the clearance “Red Dot” rack, because they figure the customer will get a good discount with their coupons!!! Everyone who was shopping for clearance shoes was commenting about how high the clearance prices are.
LOVE Stein Mart...they have clothing that suits my taste. More unique items more like a boutique than a department store. Happy they are carrying Pappagalla spelling? They were around before Lilly P, beautiful colors and patterns always get lots of compliments when ever I wear that brand. Wash and wear which makes my work life easier. Staff is awesome and helpful.
I purchased a Perry Ellis suit jacket, vest, and pants. I also got a shirt to match. I shouldn't forget the tie! $178. It would have been in the hundred had I not caught a great sale. Brand names for less! I am going back next week. I am cancelling my Stitch Fix!
We have a Stein Mart in Stuart that is going out of business. 10 to 40% off. Everything is just 10% now. They had a few things I would have liked to get. Prices are still to expensive for me. Left with nothing in our cart.
Steinmart is a hit or miss situation. I never seem to have much luck in women's clothing. They expanded their housewares department and consequently the clothes are quite crowded and difficult to soft through.
As a 40+ yr old professional man this store offers excellent value and great quality. I return all the time to see what their buyer has been putting on the shelves.
Prices are a good bargian for the most part. Sell items are always marked down a lot. Not as impressed with the selection as it use to be.
