Usually this place is decent but went today they served a burnt bagel. Not just the edges are burnt the whole top and bottom is burnt, it's like eating cardboard. That is not toasted. If you're not going to serve an inedible bagel then make another one. Really disappointed in their service today.
Will start off by saying this deli came highly recommended by my Parker bates. I am unhappy with the service. The order gets messed up every time every time we order. I always have to go back because something is always gets left out the order. To add more insult to injury they the order is always missing important components.
This place has the best bagels ever. We were staying overnight in the area and googled someplace for breakfast and Steins was close so we tried it. Hands down the best bagels we've ever had! If you're in the area you really need to stop here.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Loved the bagels. Fresh and authentic. The owner has an amazing personality. He makes everyone feel welcome. Great variety of breakfast and lunch options. But his bagels are everything you would want in a bagel.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
My husband eats at Steins Deli almost every day and sometimes twice a day, depending how long he’s at work for. He gets the same sandwich and really gets along with the workers. They have really sweet ladies working there. Today he went in for his usual and the owner who isn’t always so friendly rang him up. She charged him $6 more than he’s usually charged. He figured maybe the ladies charge him less because they know him so he let it go. Then he asked for hot sauce and she gave him 1 packet. He said “can I have like 3 more” and she said no. He said “well you can charge me if that’s the problem” and she said ok $5!! That’s when he got upset. The manager that knows him said “it’s ok he’s here everyday” and she said “no everything is expensive and I can’t be giving stuff out for free”. My husband told her to keep the free one she had given and said “you just lost a customer” to which her response was “it’s ok, we’re busy now. You can go wherever you want”. I really liked this deli and I understand everything is more expensive right now but to lose a really loyal customer over hot sauce and the arrogance of her response really upset me!! Mind you I looked up the hot sauce and it’s $22.99 for 450 packets so like .05 a packet. So she was really just being a jerk
I was working in the area and would go here for lunch, they have a wide assortment of sandwiches and hot food. I ordered the Grilled Chicken with mozzarella roasted peppers onions and balsamic vinegar. YUMMM! $10 BUCKS... a solid sandwich.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
The food is good but the service is hit or miss. For the second time in a row they prepared my food, including cooking some breakfast sandwiches only to then check and see they had no egg salad, causing a 15-20 minute wait. Had they checked when they started the order it would have only been about 5 minutes extra. So it's a good place but there can be issues with getting in and out.
Great bagel place. Stopped on the way to pick apples down the road. Fresh and delicious bagels with a wide variety of spreads to accompany the delicious bagels. Also other deli items available. Fresh coffee and other cold drinks. If you're close, worth the stop.Food: 5/5
Delicious freshly made bagels. Great food. Service is average at best. Recently renovated the counters and cabinets. Looks great. Also slight price increases.Food: 4/5
While the food is good, think they need some help in the customer service end. Had a gift certificate that I won a few years back at a school raffle. Misplaced it and eventually found it while cleaning during COVID. Went up there today it’s about a 35-40 min drive and they refused to honor it. Said it was too old. But guess what? No expiration date!! They still refused to honor it. That is terrible!!! Wouldn’t recommend them. There are other bagel shops in the area with much better customer service!!
