Scammers - bought a couch for 1400 dollars, they told us it was leather. It isn’t leather, they told us it would fit thought our door sure thing, it didn’t, we had to pay another person to take it apart and put it back inside. Couch is extremely uncomfortable and when we called they treated us like we were idiots. This is why amazon is putting these stores out of business, they are garbage. Be better, do better. 0 stars if I could.
I like them, they work with you and if your furniture is broken or need fixing they offer to fix it and I appreciate that. Their stuff is good stuff depends on what your buying, they usually treat me good. I have a lot of pieces from them and it is still brand new. The service is great in the store some of the delivery guys are a piece of work, but you get good customer service. They will work with you! I like them I bought a sofa set, bed set and now my couch set I also bought a wardrobe from them. I like how they treat me
BE AWARE!! The are selling refurbished mattresses for brand new, same as all the furniture stores in Steinway str. Also the guy who left review here NURI KADIOGLU is the Empire furniture sales person, and his trying to increase orders on his company.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! DONT BUY ANYTHING AT THIS STORE. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, IMPOLITE, VERY RUDE. THEY JUST CARE ABOUT THE MONEY. EXPENSIVE AND HORRIBLE SERVICE. MY EXPERIENCE: I ORDERED TWO WEEKS AGO TWO BEDS AND ONE FULL TROUNDLE, THEY TOOK THE PAYMENT VERY QUICK 700$ FOR SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN GET ON AMAZON FOR A BETTER TRUST. MY MISTAKE BECAUSE I TRUSTED THE GUY WHO TOOK THE ORDER. THE FIRST DELIVERY ARRIVE 3 HOURS AFTER THAT THE TIME IT WAS EXPECTED. THE DELIVERY GUY WAS CALLING ME AND YELLING ME BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MUCH TRAFFIC, THE WORST OF THE WORST START WHEN THE GUY ARRIVED BECAUSE EVERYTHING THAT THEY SENT ME IT WAS A COMPLETLY WRONG. I CALLED AND I WAS TALKING WITH THE OWNER OF THE PLACE. HE WAS REALLY RUDE, UNPOLITE AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE NEVER GOT A FULL TROUNDLE SO THEY WANTED TO TAKE 30% OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT AFTER THEY MADE MY DELIVERY WRONG. OF COURSE! I SENT THE DELIVERY BACK. ONE WEEK CALLING THE STORE, PEOPLE ANSWERING THE PHONE VERY RUDE AND UNPOLITE. NOBODY NEVER CALLED ME ABOUT THE SITUATION. I HAD TO GO ASTORIA PERSONALLY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I CAME IN TO THE STORE THE MANAGER WAS VERY NICE AND TOLD ME THAT HE WAS GOING TO TAKE CARE OF THE FURNITURE. I TRUSTED HIM BUT I DIDNT HAVE BEDS FOR MORE THAN A WEEK ALREADY AND SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR , I COULDNT ORDERED ANOTHER BED BECASUE THEY WANTED TO TAKE ALL MY MONEY. THE MANAGER SAID MY FURNITURE WILL ARRIVE ON SATURDAY. "BIG LIE". TODAY MONDAY AFTER ALMOST TWO WEEKS ARRIVED MY FURNITURE. DELIVERY GUYS WERE CRAZY, THEY WERE FIGHTING BETWEEN THEM. THEY WERE BUILDING EVERYTHING WRONG, ALSO THEY FOUGHT WITH ME BECAUSE THEY DIDNT EAT LUNCH. PLEASE, WHERE THIS PEOPLE WERE COMING FROM. BUT THERE IS MORE THEY SENT ME A MATREES THAT DINDT FIT IN SO HERE WE GO, SO I HAD TO RETURN THE MATREES. I CALLING THE STORE FOR MORE THAN 5 HOURES AND THEY PICKED UP KNOWING MY NUMBER AND JUST PUT ME ON HOLD. IM STILL CALLING AND THEY DONT CARE. THIS IS BEING A COMPLETLY NIGHTMARE AS YOU CAN SEE ON THE PICTURES THEY SENT TWO TIMES SAME SIZE OF MATREESS WHERE DIDNT FIT UNDER THE BED AS I REQUESTED.
Horrible experience! I bought a bed frame and mattress for about $500. The day of delivery, two men came with a bed set that was already assembled. So I asked them, why isn't the bed in a box or in plastic, and they told me they assembled it in the van - which was obviously a lie because the van wasn't that big. So I take a look at the bed and it's scratched and dented and it was obviously a FLOOR SAMPLE! I call the manager multiple times, both calls he told me he was going to call me back, never did, so I showed up in person. Long story short. He didn't want to give me a refund! He said he would give me half the money.... It took him a week to refund me and that was only because I told him I was going to call the police and take him to court if he didn't. Don't shop here, save your time and money.
I would give 2 stars instead of 1 cause I like the furniture I bought from them. But, terrible delivery service. Told me it would take 10 business days to arrive, which means less than 2 weeks including the weekend. Didn't arrive until the 4th week. When I would call them, they would either say "lemme see what I can do" and would put me on hold for 30 mins, or just not receive my call at all. Called them to ask about the 1 year warranty that I was promised, since a bed frame was attached improperly, could use more drilling/pressing. The main guy in the store yelled on the phone the whole time without letting me explain my problem, said "I dont know you on the phone, come to the store with receipt and we'll see if anything is needed." Don't buy from them. Like their furniture? take a photo and go to another store to ask for it. They all have same providers pretty much anyway. It's their own words that made me not visit them anymore. Rude, money-hungry, do not keep their words, terrible services.
This place was fantastic! I placed a large order with delivery to Manhattan and it only cost a $50 delivery fee. I really did my homework on tons of furniture Ashley products and was price matched on everything! Moses was a great help. I certainly recommend them and won't hesitate to refer anyone to them in the future
Buyer Beware!!! We purchased a high top kitchen table set from this location and it is a piece to junk. Not only was the mark-up on the price ridiculous, but, after a few months of use, the table top is already chipping ain’t. Moreover, they didn’t even put together the chairs properly. When we complained, they pointed to a small “sign” about the size of my hand, hidden behind some flowers near their register that they use as a safeguard from “special order” complaints. The owners/employees refused to assist us in any way and made it clear we were not welcome to bring our complaints. We have since stopped trying, but it could not go without being said-this is clearly not a store that values customers. It is a sham shop that overcharges for junk. You’re better off going to IKEA, or anywhere else but here.
Went in this past weekend and had the pleasure of working with David. Very friendly and knowledgeable, and he gave me a great deal on the mattress. I also appreciated the fact that he doesn't try to aggressively string you along like some other salesman; David is respectful and doesn't pressure you.
I only came here because my friend recommended it. The reviews are true, my delivery didn’t come yesterday and I called to confirm and they had attitude. Said they would call me at 5 or 6pm. I asked if I need to exchange something if I could they said it’s too late. I just hope they got my order right. I’ll share an update.
