Great park with lots of different things to do! I’m excited to see what the new playground will be like!
This is an excellent park that has a variety of different things to do that the whole family can enjoy. There are baseball fields, playground equipment, hiking trails, biking trails, sheltered pavilions, fire pits, and more. Some of the trails are very dangerous for young children. Overall this is a very cool park! Playground: Play park with slides, monkey bars, swings, etc. Restrooms: Any gender restrooms Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly park Picnic area: Pavilions and benches throughout the park.
Still a fun park for my son! Park is holding up for being over 20 years old! The city of Moline needs to better maintain our parks , playgrounds and ball fields! New park equipment coming soon I hear!
Absolutely amazing park! It has volleyball court, playground for the kids, basketball hoop, and plenty of running space! And there's even walking/biking/running trails. I would not recommend them for elderly or those in a wheelchair as the pathways in some spots is very narrow washed out by the rain. It could also be very slippery after a rain so be careful!
My union picnic was held here under the shelter. Very clean and a restroom close by. We have been using this park for our annual picnic for along time.
Oh my goodness I have so many memories of Stevens Park going back from when I was a kid I'm 57 years old now and I still go back there sometimes and just sit and have a cup of coffee when I'm in town and think about old times
This is my son's favorite park in Moline. There's also a basketball court, baseball diamond, and sand volleyball available if you don't want to play on the playground.
Great urban park with legit mountain bike trails maintained my QCFORC. Playgrounds, baseball fields, pavilions, sand volleyball, horseshoes etc. Safe place to bring your kids.
Stephen's Park has a great mountain biking trail which plenty of challenge, though it is definitely one of the smaller ones in the Quad Cities. Thanks to QC FORC, there's a cohesive route that goes down into the ravine and back up again. There are quite a few switchbacks that are VERY challenging because they are on a fairly steep incline, so if you aren't in tip top shape, expect to walk your bike a bit. On the other hand, there's a terrific downhill section that is a blast to ride! The recent derecho of 2020 did a number on the trails with lots of fallen branches, but they are mostly all cleaned up now. I like Stephen's Park because it is right in the heart of Moline and is a fun, relatively quick, trail to ride. There's more to it than you think, and it takes a couple of visits to figure out the actual completed route. But it's worth it. Now it's marked as a beginner / intermediate trail, but I would say it's pretty difficult for a beginner... mainly because of 1 the ravine drop-off that could be dangerous for new riders, and 2 the steep inclines and switchbacks. But it is very rewarding when you complete it!
Went on the trails at Stephen park and it was absolutely trashed nothing but garbage and two homeless encampments with people sleeping in them.
