Steve Breyer started his residential construction career in 1983 as an apprentice electrician installing switches and plugs for a local subcontractor in new Southern California Homes. After learning the basics of electrical circuitry, he began installing breakers, appliances, air-conditioning units, pre-wiring new homes and finally troubleshooting and service repairs. With a strong desire to learn more about home construction and other trade skills, Steve took his first job with a major Southern California Builder (William Lyon Homes). As a warranty representative, Steve had the unique opportunity to schedule and monitor the different trades in their inspection and repair procedures. Over the years, a multitude of trades people performed their inspections and repairs with Steve working alongside, which resulted in a keen sense of knowing what to look for and how to repair it. After years of inspections and repair projects, Steve began working for KB Homes as a warranty field supervisor and started inspecting larger issues such as mold symptoms, drainage and ground water challenges along with structural deficiencies and water intrusion issues. He was able to contract the best professionals and consultants in the business to identify and resolve a wide variety of deficiencies in several trades. In 1992, Steve passed his California Contractors Exam and began working as an independent repair contractor for some of Southern California's Top Builders, providing contractor/ handyman services. In 2002, Steve was hired by Pardee Homes to set up their new Orange County Home Warranty Department and in 2004, Steve was hired by Corman Leigh Communities to start their new Warranty Department in Temecula. These management positions further sharpened Steve's problem resolution skills by his creation of repair training sessions for all field staff. In 2007, Steve passed the InterNACHI Home Inspection Examination and now provides both services.
