This place was a GODSEND. We are selling our house and our cat began spraying. He needed to be neutered. Badly. I called everyplace in town and each one were booked or had some reason they couldn't give our little guy the needed procedure. We were going to give our cat to the humane society when this Clinic went out of their way to make room for us so we could keep Eddy our cat. After he was neutered, he is a completely different and wonderful kitty. No meowing non-stop, no spraying and smelling up rooms, and now he can't stop cuddling. PLUS, this place was the CHEAPEST too. Even cheaper than the sketchy sounding traveling clinics. The kids are happy, the house doesn't smell like cat pee and our cat is back to being happy. I cannot recommend this place enough. Staff was very nice, and fast. Saved me from telling the two kids why we had to get rid of our little buddy. Easily worth it.
I have taken my animals here ever since I moved to Stevens Point, and I love it! Dr. Novak is awesome, and i can tell the staff really cares about my pets and their health. It's a smaller clinic compared to others in the area, but it's a "where everybody knows your name" kind of place, which I really enjoy--it makes for a much more personal experience.
Strongly recommended. I've been taking my animals to SPAH since I moved here in 2007 as a college student. The staff is amazing and very attentive. They are very sweet/caring when doing checkups, and really seem to connect with the animals. Test results are relayed quickly, and they give you timelines for ones that take a bit longer. The pricing for everything is affordable. They also have an online store, which is great if you need specialty food or an RX for your animals. I am able to order the food my dog needs, and even set up a reoccurring order/delivery, which is super convenient. I've had to put down two dogs due to cancer in the past 12 years I've been going here, and the staff made what were horrendously difficult decisions/experiences a bit easier. Our vet was able to clearly but kindly relay difficult information about the diagnoses, and advise me without being pushy about direction of care. I cannot recommend this vet clinic strongly enough.
BEST VETS EVER. BEST CLINIC IN TOWN. Always gives my fur kids the best care they deserve, treat them like their own. I couldn't imagine having to go to another clinic because no other clinic could compare to the care this clinic has for animals. My 1.5year old was diagnosed with EPI and I am so grateful they caught it quick and the treatment is very easy for my little boy to take. I recommend this clinic to all my family and friends. Stevens Point Animal Hospital treats you like family!
Easily 5 stars. We were traveling through Steven's Point, when our Short Hair Pointer developed an infection. One call to Steven's point animal hospital and talked to Sarah. She got us right in. The vet was great! Gave my dog a full exam and prescribed some antibiotics. Never did I feel rushed, asking about any concerns I had. The rate was reasonable, no emergency charges.
I haven't had any issues. They have taken care of our Golden Retriever, making sure she has the right vaccines. Friendly staff. They accept care credit which helps a lot with bigger bills.
Very wonderful care recieved. I switched to this vet after being told by my previous vet to "ask petco" about flea and tick prevention for my puppy. Since switching i have been a frequent flyer and never once did i feel rushed or like a burden. They take as much time as needed to aswer all your questions and concerns and are very kind to your furry family member. Would highly recommend to anyone.
I hadn't found a vet yet since moving to Steven's Point, but I knew my dog wasnt feeling well and needed to be seen right away. After calling around some SPAH was the first one to have an appointment open that day. They were very friendly and helpful. They knew exactly what was wrong with him and prescribed him medicine right away. Not even an hour after taking it he started to feel better, and the next day he was back to being himself! I appreciate their help, and plan to use them in the future. They even called me to make sure he was feeling better.
While it was a few years back now, I always warn people not to come here. My poor cat suffers from epilepsy and had a massive string of seizures when she was 3 years old. The vet who saw her was able to give her medications to stop seizing but made us feel incredibly guilty that we couldn't take her to the emergency vet in Mosinee and told us to put her down. Thanks to the vets at Community animal hospital she's now a happy healthy 7 years old with lots of life left to live
