Hello. My name is Zoila Chaviano Khan. I remember coming as a child in the late 70's early 80's. I remember it being a picnic park with a big Pool With 2 slides & a Diving board. The river had flowing water with a strong currant & it was in Aug so it was mid summer. We were invited to picnic with my Father's Boss from Pacific Pumps Steel Worker Igresol Rand Company . These people were the most exciting people to be around they were very fond of my families cooking & the BBQ's were Epic! We Roasted a 100 pound Pig on a Spit made from factory Steel drum that was sliced in half & had to be turned manually so if you wanted a taste you had to take 15 min turn & spin the pig that was kind of heavy if you ask me. My Cuban family was amazing & outdoorsy they loved eat, Cook, drink, dance & laugh. I will be looking for pictures & when i find them i will post them. Good times. It was called the Oasis.
Really authentic looking. My fiancé and I were there shooting a film set in Vietnam. Great place to do films.
