Nice park, only has one big slide. Has 2 other little slides. There's lights if your there when it gets dark. Has restrooms. It also has workout equipment. Its wasnt enough to keep my 5 & 6 yr old entertained tho. Although it used to when they were a little younger.
Pretty relaxing atmosphere with two basketball courts, a baseball field, and plenty of open space for soccer and stuff like that. Lots of playgrounds, too. Only thing is that the homeless guy yelling at passing children was more than a little distracting, and judging from a few other reviews this sort of thing is not terribly rare.
I only come to William Steinmetz Park for tennis, so review is only about the tennis courts. Unfortunately, since the homeless incident the homeless camped on the courts, setting up tents for a couple of weeks , the tennis courts close early now, around 7 or 8pm everyday. Which really sucks, because we used to be able to play until 10pm with lights. With work ending around 6pm, there's hardly any time to play on the courts anymore, IF you even manage to get a court at all. Furthermore, during the Fall season when leaves are falling, sometimes there are leaves everywhere on the court, rendering the courts unplayable for days sometimes until it's cleared. Really wish they would close the tennis gates at 10pm again.
Enjoyed this park for over 25 years wonderful summer program for the kids and their new concert in the park series and movies in the park make this community even better. Parks make life better.
Really enjoyed Concerts in the park. Relaxing cool Fun. Great entertainment #Soto Band is the best. Playground: Lots of activities Restrooms: Easy access Picnic area: Shaded easy-to-use
Usually take my kids to this park because it’s next to my house, they have now parks after dark i like it so the kids can have fun but i want last time and this guy was really mean to my kids and other kids he try to give them bad look and talk to them rude I didn’t like it at all , when he talk to me he not look at my face he keep looking to his phone with attitude answering he doesn’t know how he be respectful like other one there , everyone was super nice and kind to the kids and family just him not , I don’t think we will go again and let the kids had same experience with this guy
You need to be aware of some homeless people might resting there or sitting on picnic bench for a long time.
The concerts at the park were great! They were fun for everyone in the family and can't wait till next summer!
Reminds me to cross out this park. This is a horrible park! I went to shoot some hoops. A homeless guy slept next to the court. Thrashes littered all over the place. The court and hoops had certainly seen better days. I find it sad to see a park in this poor condition considering that this is a nice neighborhood. Don't know why this park got so many rave reviews. It's a complete opposite.
Nice park with baseball field, grass area, basketball and tennis courts. Also, there is a fire pit with concrete benches.
