I just went and sat down in my car because it's not that welcoming to me, I wish there were overhead shed restrooms men and women I wish it was a better play area for the children, I wish that they could block off the grass areas Park area for the safety of everyone especially children and and the disabled people. Playground: I wish there was a nice plate escape area for the children like they have in other parks Restrooms: I wish they had restrooms in the park, and have someone maintaining them to keep them clean Dog-friendliness: It would be nice if there were an area on the park that people could carry their dogs to play like they have in other cities like Chicago Picnic area: I would love to see this park have a small water park area so people can enjoy getting wet when it really hot outside.
Two playgrounds, a bunch of ball fields, soccer field, basketball court, tennis courts and so much more! This is a fun park for many different ages. There's trails to walk or ride. There are plenty of trees to find shade and climbing. There's exercise equipment too.
Wow, that's so crazy seeing how this place has been revamped. Haha I used to play baseball up there way before they had the homerun fences installed. Lmao we used to have to run into the trees to look for the ball if someone hit it that far lol no matter what tho those snacks always slapped at the end of our games. "Aye lemme get that cherry Capri sun and barbecue chips" Haha good times.
This park is nice to have birthday party's and just to relax with the children
Nice park. It has plenty of space to allow a family to gather for a small cookout. The park features 3 baseball fields, a play area and basketball court where people can actively participate. In addition, the park has a special water system infrastructure that aids in removing excessive water from the surrounding streets
It used to be a nice park. Could still be. Kinda ghetto now..trash around..the perimeter/streets were flooded and the lawn was muddy and not manicured. But it was peaceful . Needs to be kept up . So sad . The bugs didn't overtake the outdoors so it didn't have an odor. There weren't pets running around. The swings are extra high...I am 5 '7 and couldn't easily get on , I tried it.... that being said , I had to lift the children up onto the swings. They weren't tiny babies so why they are so extremely high off the ground..who knows..
It's a community park and big enough to hold numerous events at one time. Found existing tables and grill located through out. There were swings and a nice newer baseball area for the kids and young at heart. Although there are many pluses, the downside is not enough parking in the area. However, I would recommend Stoepel Park to all.
This is a really nice neighborhood park to have a picnic at with your family they even have a tennis court and it’s always clean
This park is a beautiful hidden gem in the City of Detroit! Stoepel Park has been beloved by Detroit residents since its inception but what's great about it now, is that a whole new generation can learn to love it, too, as the park has been practically updated with a lot of new additions that are awesome! We, Detroiters, rarely, ever wander far from home because we know what we need to enjoy everyday life is right here in Detroit!
Went for the tennis courts. It was nice...they have acrylic hard surface courts. Newer but needs a bit of occassional upkeep such as a leaf blower to remove debris from the court. Other than that, it was good.
