Stonemen Art offers a collection of interior/exterior vertical stone stacks. Ranging in 1ft-6ft with both logical and illogical appearance.
Stonemen Art creates both interior and exterior stone artwork. Our two most popular vertical series- ZEN and WHIRL have been in production since Jan 2016. Each utilizes Colorado River Jacks that are drilled and stacked on steel posts.
February 2016 the SIGNATURE Series was created and began by the fusion of Trap Rip Rap with other stones, These pieces are prized and showcase the artists ability to find opportunity within the specific stones used.
July 2016 Stonemen Art began working with Limestone Rip Rap and Flag creating the INUKSUIT Series. Larger INUKSUIT are on a commission only schedule.
Since our opening I have had the great opportunity to the work of Woods Davy and visited the beach in Baja California Sur Mexico where he gathered his stones for the Cantamar Series. I am also a big fan of the stone works of Carl Peverall.
Moving forward into our second year I can only hope that someday our art may find a place somewhere close to the great artists that work with stone in unaltered states, taking commonplace stones and bringing them together and to life.
Stonemen Art is located in Plymouth Mn with a small Studio and Outdoor Gallery. The Stonemen, RJ and his step son Jake, work side by side in concert with the stones creating all one of a kind Stone Art.
