I've been shopping here for the last 9 years. They almost always have what I'm looking for and if not I'll put my name on the list to be notified when it comes in. The prices are great, everything is extremely clean and in like new condition and the owner, Cathy, is THE BEST!!
LOVED this place!! Cathy was SO helpful with finding me my WEDDING DRESS!! Unbelievable selection of both NEW never-worn and gently-worn dresses! I really had no idea what I was getting into -- the website definitely does not do justice to the actual inventory. I tried on/saw a lot of beautiful dresses but said 'yes' to the perfect one. Retailed at $5K and I walked out with it for under $1,500! I should say, I have no idea what season many of these dresses are from but Cathy is great and she can certainly tell you everything you might need to know! She also helped me find a veil which I got for under $100! The wedding industry is outrageous with the pricing and I was so so happy to have found a beautiful dress here! I was sorry I didn't have time to go through the Melissa and Doug toys while I was there to bring some for my niece and nephew! There is also a GREAT selection of kids clothing! Post-wedding I will share pics : My fiance sometimes sees my reviews so I will not be sharing the dress photos until he sees me : : Thank you!!!
Cathy made our family feel welcome and suggested some great toys for the kids! Wide selection of clothing, jewelry, shoes, wedding dresses and toys! A must see consignment store!
Way too jam packed with stuff and I thought the lady running the store was pretty rude. Just because you don’t have something doesn’t mean you should give a attitude about it. All their used toys are basically what you can pay for at the store brand new.
We love this place. I moved to south carolina but when ever I come to Connecticut for a visit, we have to come here.
What amazes me is their knowledge of all the kids gear, to include accessories and features. Always willing to get something down from a display or take extra time to show you how something works. Even put new batteries in a toy my son bought. It’s those little things that really sets a small business apart from big retail.
Very nice rack of wedding dresses. It was a great place to start with great prices! The only thing is I wish they had the dress clamps to see how it would fit when altered correctly. Thanks for all the help!
I've been a customer here for 20 years and have saved a bundle of money on a variety of items, especially when my daughter was little. We still bring her gently used clothing here and today, with the money on our account, she was able to get 2 pairs of jeans for free! This is a great place to save money on brand names.
They are one of the cleaner stores. Pretty cramped though, my husband 6'5" had a very difficult time walking around carrying our 7 month old. Clothes very overpriced - can get better, new, same name brands at Marshalls for same and lower prices, or head down the road to the outlets! While I was talking to my husband, I overheard someone snap, "Do you know how prices work?" "I said do you know how prices work" I looked over at her amazed she was an employee talking to me. So much for, "Hello how are you today", I guess that's how they greet their customers, do I know how prices work?! She quickly pointed on the tags "the longer something sits on a self the cheaper it is, there are three dates with 3 prices." Toys most of them overpriced - what wasn't overpriced something was wrong with them. Activity walkers/pushers you can get new starting at $25. They are selling them used for about $22. Employees, snooty. - One activity walker I fiddled with, my husband said it looked like it converted. A lady behind snipped, "yes that's correct" I asked her how 3 times and she just ignored me. Didn't have much time at this location, I had a sick 7 month old in tow!
this place is a gold mine. I am from Florida and when I come to the shoreline I always seem to need something for my son. My first thought is The Stork Exchange will have something, lets go check them out. I tend to leave with more than what we needed, they have great inventory for kids and women an the staff is so friendly and helpful.
