Stow Police Department

Called the non emergency number to consult on a matter. The lady who picked up the phone kept on cutting me off and not listening to my concerns. 'Protect & serve' moto. After the protect there is ' serve' . ' service' per Miriam dictionary is ' contribution to the welfare of others'. I left the phone call feeling less trusting of entity who is supposed to provide me with security and help. Oxford dictionary says 'service' is : "Be ready to assist someone whenever possible". ' ready to assist', That could be done with kindness and compassion. Some empathy would have been nice. Listening skills which is in the basis of service work. if the 'service' provider who answered the phone would have had social skill/ customer svc training on ability to LISTEN to a person. I started explaining but the person on the phone cut me off without allowing me to complete my sentence

Dispatch is not professional and extremely rude. When dealing with Mental Health Crisis you would think they would use more compassion and empathy. Work as a team with your community.

Stow police had the audacity to tell me I could not leave me car running with the air on at giant eagle so my dog would be ok last summer, for 10 minutes, I couldn't leave my car running. Guessing it's ok to let my dog roast in the car. Please post if you see a stow cop running car, winter or summer, that is apparently a major crime.... Update 1-2 2020: stopped at Panera Elyria. Police car in lot, running, with police dog in vehicle. Apparently, North ridgeville understands taking care of our dogs. Stow police sticks with no common sense and harassing individuals.

We just saw an AWESOME presentation on A.L.I.C.E. @ Kimpton in which Stow & Munroe Falls departments fielded questions on how to keep our children and community safer. Thank you for your time, your service and your support. You all rock!!

Awful, rude experience. Say they won't take reports if it's against their own department. Try to berate you that they've been doing this "longer" than you should you state your rights. The sergeant is both unprofessional, rude, and frankly uneducated. Terrible department and people.

Very dedicated to keeping Stow safe. Good job all Police Officers. Sadly Unappreciated by so many for all the great work they do.!!

These guys drive like animals yet pull people over for nothing

They have always been friendly to me. Helped me out of a jam one time and I'll never forget it. Thank you SPD.

Thank you Stow Police for making Graham Rd the safest road in the United States.. How about our communities??
