Stowe's Shoes & Clothing was founded in 1940 at 604 Fairhaven Avenue. In 1954, the store was moved two blocks west to its present location at 420 E. Fairhaven Avenue, where a new building was constructed. In 1970, the store was doubled to its present size. The store features shoes and clothing for men and women. The product mix is tailored to the Pacific Northwest lifestyle. The second, third and fourth generations of the Stowe family are currently involved in Stowe's Shoes & Clothing.
