The Strad Meadery was started to create great tasting, easy drinking meads first to California and then to the rest of the nation.
The Strad Meadery is currently introducing our Nectar line of meads. These are meads that are low alcohol, around 7 to 7.5% ABV, lightly carbonated, served chilled - perfect for drinking on a hot day or while wondering about at the local Renaissance Fayre.
Current flavors include:
Traditional. This is mead in its purest sense. Just honey and water fermented to almost dry.
Pomegranate (melomel). This is a mead with pomegranate juice added.
Strawberry. (melomel)This a mead with strawberry juice added.
Apricot (melomel). This is a mead with apricot juice added.
Chardonnay (pyment). This mead was fermented with honey and chardonnay grapes. The combination creates an exquisitely complex flavor and with the addition of carbonation makes for a great tasting drink that is like champagne.
The Strad Meadery's mission is to promote mead and to introduce a range of high quality, great tasting meads to the masses.
