Great park. Lots of wild flowers, birds and rabbits.
This Hamilton County Park was a pleasant surprise. I've lived in the county for 5 years and enjoy walking/hiking. But I never considered this park until it was recommended by a friend. Its educational signage is second to none, and its well-designed paths will make it a regular on my frequent hiking venues.
Great little Homeschool Field trip! We watched some educational type YouTube videos and when we saw things in person we had just talked about for school it was exciting! The tour guide Wes I believe was wonderful and so sweet with the kids.
This is a great park if you're looking to get away from the city and some of the busier trails. We walked about 2 miles of the trail and only saw a few other people which was nice. There's a good portion of the trail that's shaded which is great for summer. The little boardwalk area at the back of the trail is a cool little place to check out. I do wish there was easier access to the river on the main loop trail. The Native American homes are another cool area to check out and learn a bit about local history.
I'm in love with Koteewi. I live just a very short distance from it and now there is a brand new paved walking/bike trail from just in town Cicero alll the way to Koteewi and the White River Campground. I cannot wait to go tubing this year! This place is beautiful, peaceful with lots of things to do throughout each season. Keep it up Koteewi!!!
What a cool park! The part we went to had a nature center that had so many neat artifacts, animal specimens, and other things like nests and minerals. Our girls loved exploring. There were also some simple art projects. The archiological sure was really interesting and unique. While we were there the wild flowers were abundant and we saw a lot of birds and butterflies along the path. Very nice park for families.
Very interesting. Lots of historical information & heritage to discover. Plenty of sites to see. There are vendor sponsored family activities that can be scheduled with advanced notice. Horseback riding and archery to name a couple. The site staff was very friendly, welcoming & full of information. We definitely will revisit.
awesome park lots of historic information
My girls came home from a day at camp here just so exhausted and happy and had so much to tell me about the Zipline challenge course and archery! My two year old and I enjoyed a nice nature walk through the prairie wildflowers and the wigwams were so interesting!
Very cool place that explains quite a bit of history. Nice afternoon walking trails with nature to enjoy.
