Street Ash began back in the summer of 2013. Having just graduated from college, I began my journey working jobs of many different fields. I soon discovered that my art and creativity sparked the most satisfaction so I began following my passion and created the job I was seeking. From there I began creating more artwork, using my favorite mediums, spray paint and stenciling. In High School I learned how to transform my drawings into hand-cut stencils, I began learning different techniques of layering those stencils onto canvas', skateboards, tiles, etc.As I began working hard on my artwork I started connecting with local artists, businesses and friends to get my name out there.
When it comes to my bike tube jewelry that idea came about in the middle of my creative frontier. While hanging out with my close guy friends one evening they began talking about all the awesome recycled bike tube products they had recently been purchasing. Being an artist and cyclist I realized how AMAZING these products were for guys but I had never seen anything out there for women. My ideas began to flow and I went home that night grabbing some of my own bike tubes and began testing out designs and colors that I thought would be funky and cool.
Many ask where does the name 'Street Ash' come from. The short answer to this question is that for years I was creating artwork that many considered Street Art, I realized that by combining Street Art and my name, Ash, you get 'Street Ash'.
