I have been in the emergency room either for myself or family members for years since it has been open. The staff has always been super helpful and attentive. The wait time is so quick even during the pandemic. I do not know why people have any bad reviews because their staff always been attentive and have gone above and beyond. I am super picky and this place is THE best! best care and timely service/care
We had to go here over the weekend during an out-of-town trip from Charlotte, NC visiting family in Cleveland with my 10 month old son who had pink eye. Total wait time in the lobby and the room was right at 2 hours. If we saw a doctor for more than 3 minutes to confirm the pink eye it was a miracle. What a disgrace to call yourself an Urgent Care and make a baby wait that long for essentially an eye drop prescription. People who got there just after we arrived were STILL in the waiting room when we left. How awful. In Charlotte we have these wonderful facilities called FastMed Urgent Cares. In and out in less than 30 minutes with great care every time, no matter the time of day. My wish for the good people of Cleveland is that these facilities come to your area. What a shame it is that you are subjected to such poor care and service from Southwest.
Dissatisfied on all fronts. I have tried southwest hospital multiple times over the years thinking it might be better and never has been. I have had misdiagnoses, undiagnosed broken bones and horribly rude employee experiences. The building is difficult to navigate through and parking is a mess. I will not be returning. My last appointment was supposed to be with radiology. I was referred by a dr from a different hospital. I called and scheduled the appointment at the highlighted number on my referral sheet. I read the person on the phone all my info so they would know what i needed. I called the morning of my appointment to verify where i was going in the building and they even pulled up my info on the phone. We scheduled and I showed up early for check in. Upon check in there is clearly a problem. The woman checking me in tells us to sit in the waiting area. She walks out of site and into a room off the reception area. She then proceeds to make a phone call to someone and discuss me and my referal. She told the person on the phone i had an invalid referral. They were discussing me and my referral sheet which was given to me by a dr from university hospitals I could hear her say that yes I was scheduled and in the computer system. SHe said nobody was in the radiology department to do an ultrasound. She even proceeded to discuss why my referral form looked fake and implied that I had forged a referral!!! I was embarrassed and angry. She then ended the call and came back into the waiting room clearly unaware I could hear her as Im sure the other patients could. She gave me back my referral form and told me I was scheduled for the wrong type of ultrasound and to call the highlighted number and reschedule. However I have not as the highlighted number is the one i originally called. The entire ordeal took about half hour and i wasn't even seen. Very disappointed
I have never been to an Urgicare before, and was a bit apprehensive about taking my sick infant daughter there as she's only ever been seen by her pediatrician. Due to the late hour, and the fact that she needed to be seen before returning to day care, I had no choice. I'm happy to say that the entire experience was fantastic thanks mostly to the staff we encountered. Luckily, there was only one other person waiting to be triaged in the waiting area, so wait-time wasn't an issue. The receptionist was extremely pleasant and helpful and the doctor was upbeat and friendly. Most of all, the assistant or nurse that triaged us was amazing. My daughter is now at that "stranger danger" age and cries if anyone new touches her especially in a doctor's office. However, the young lady was so gentle, patient, and soft spoken that my daughter never cried. She gave her a popsicle for her soar throat and stickers for being a good patient. I never expected that kind of care from staff I've never seen before! Thank you so much for making me and most importantly, my daughter, happy! I highly recommend this Urgicare to any parent with a sick baby!
Diane C. The RN during the MRI was great. If I ever need another one done I will go there. Made me feel welcome and comfortable as I was very nervous and my first time for an MRI Thank you
Long waits in waiting room and operatatories. The reason for the 3 starts is solely because of waiting and also no answers when I call. I asked for authorization for a prescription at 2 pm. At 4:30 it still wasn’t authorized. It’s just frustrating dealing with them. Although I would like to say when Dr. Cynthia Zellis worked there she was amazing and super friendly. Since she left I haven’t found a doctor as genuine like her.
The medical professions were good. Had no problem with them whatsoever. The billing dept on the other hand is a pain. My mom had tubes placed in her ears and they claimed we didn't have insurance and sent a bill for $3,000. However, we have documents from the insurance company saying we are only responsible for $875.So I called, said they will handle it, never did and got slapped with another bill. Called again, said they'll fix it and then got sent to collections. So I called a final time and said if needed I can bring in the documents from the insurance company, the lady said " I don't care what your papers say,you are paying the $3,000 and if you refuse to pay, we will take you to court." So after that we had to hire lawyers and settled it that way. Bc of this incident, I have refused to go back to this hospital.
So unprofessional. I went there at the beginning of May, for a uti screening. They sent a sample out to the lab and said "we will call you if we find anything." May 16th rolled around, I hadn't heard anything and I was still having uti discomfort. so I thought I'd call just incase. She puts me on hold, had the doctor"review" my chart. They tell me I do indeed have a uti and then prescribed me medication. They did not call me, I had to seek them out to even find out my results. If I hadn't, God only knows how long I would be waiting and living with this. So lesson learned, don't wait for them to only call you if there is a problem...clearly they can't handle that small task. Get it together.
This place is pretty awful. I went there once for what I thought was strep throat, turned out to be that plus a double ear infection. Dr gave me a prescription and I was on my way Ok that probably took about 2 hours I went to the pharmacy to fill the prescription. Turns out it was penicillin, which I told the nurse and Dr I was allergic to AND was on all my paperwork. Didn't help that I was also pregnant so the list of medications I could take was quite short, but I still had to wait 1 hour at the pharmacy then for the Dr to call them back to change my prescription. I used the "InQuicker" check in this time for an "appointment" so we'll see how that goes.
The lady at registration was extremely rude. Rolling her eyes at every question we answered. Didnt get her name but she had a pixie hair cut , hair color was gray. You do not treat people like that especially in the medical field. Will not be going back to this location ever again
