Hotel was recently renovated. Friendly staff. The matress was comfortable. Clean & Big rooms. Lot of power ports. Reading lights. Free breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend and stay in the area if you are around. Full kitchen and dishes. Good water pressure and adjustable shower. There is also econo lodge in the same complex.
This place was a mess. The rooms were sloppy painted. No phones on the room, no fridge, it advertised to have one. My first room the AC went out. Had to move rooms @10pm. Second was ok. The grounds were mowed but dirty. A shopping cart outside the door was for trash. No maid service for the 7 days I was there. Towels, coffee etc, you collected at the front desk. 2 fire door entrances in each room. One key locked the other locked from inside. The outer doors to the hallways we're not locked. Anyone could enter The night front desk, Angel was wonderful. The maid Tamara was helpful & polite. Another low rent motel charging to much.
Horrible. Don’t stay here. I normally do not write reviews, however this is an exception. The room key never worked, the front desk woman had to come to our room every morning and night to let us into our room. We stayed for 7 days and they never fixed it. The paint is chipping in the bathtubs, and the fossets are rusted. I also developed scabies after staying here and had to go to the doctor, true story. One of the ladies, the one with brown hair, is super rude and difficult to talk to.
I had a very pleasant stay at suburban extended. The various front desk staff members were soooo nice and helpful. The room was nice and very comfortable. This section of the hotel was recently renovated so all the appliances were new. The room has a good sized fridge with a kitchenette so I was able to cook simple meals. Overall I felt safe and comfortable and would recommend suburban extended stay hotel to anyone passing through Fredonia who needed a place to stay with a kitchenette.
So to start, there are officially two hotels as part of the same location: the Econolodge for short visits and the Suburban Extended Stay for longer stays. I stayed in the Suburban Extended Stay section for over a month as I worked on a construction project in Dunkirk. The Good about Suburban Extended Stay: -The double rooms are recently renovated with new furnishings including a nearly full-sized refrigerator, a small cooktop and microwave, work desk, flat-screen tv, etc. -The beds are perhaps a little soft, but comfortable. -It's been quiet in my section of the hotel. -The staff have been pleasant and helpful as needed. -It's a non-smoking hotel, so there's no cigarette smell in the rooms. Areas for improvement: -The shower and toilet areas were not included in the recent renovation and show some age! -The wifi has been inconsistent. -Housekeeping only once a week for Suburban guests has been inconsistent as well. -The outside of the hotel is severely lacking in curb appeal. Overall, it's a perfectly adequate place to spend a few weeks; it's quiet, mostly clean, and comfortable.
2nd time staying at suburban. Was here in August and just last night. Rooms are always clean, desk staff is always polite and my stay is always very very comfortable. Beds are soft, a lot of pillows, cable tv, heater works in room. Only thing, this time I didn’t have a fridge, but they told me at check in and I just put my things in my friends fridge. I will stay here every time I come to town.
The truth is this place is better then Marriott. I have only great things to say about my 2 night stay while with my daughter at SUNY Fredonia orientation. I discard any negativity or bad reviews. This was a pleasure from setting up reservation to enjoying the ambiance and the Hotels offerings. It even has its own laundry center! A picnic table on the back great lawn and free continental breakfast with very good coffee. The housekeeping staff were always around and checking in to see if we needed anything. The place is immaculate. We arrived early this past Sunday morning and had the privilege of meeting Lori who is the desk clerk. She was nothing but kind, overly friendly and extremely helpful. I need to also mention Linda who helped set up my reservations. You just do not get this level of service at other hotel brands, I know for a fact. All businesses have ups and downs but to read a review here that’s not to my liking says that person doesn’t even like themself! I will be making this location my go to hotel when I come up from Long Island to visit my Daughter at Fredonia school of music. I want to add the rooms were spacious and included brand new updates including refrigerator with huge freezer. Beds comfy and rooms spotless. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who needs lodging in the Fredonia/Dunkirk areas. The staff makes for the best stay when it comes to hospitality. I will be telling all my brothers in the American Legion, Moose Lodges and Fredonia parents to make this their place to stay when in the area. Thank you for a great enjoyable visit.
