I took my daughter to shop here for her Bat Mitzvah party dress. Was not totally sure what to expect based on reviews I had read. The selection of junior special occasion dresses beat any other store we had visited there aren’t too many stores left but we went and Linda who helped us was full of energy and expertise. My daughter left with a dress she loves and cannot wait to wear!! She also got two dresses to wear to friends’ parties. It’s a very cute store. Lots of fun clothes, cute two piece sets and gifts. I’m SO glad we went and had a good experience!
Clothes are very cute and great options for bar and bat mitzvah attendances, but I will never purchase something from here because the owner is so obnoxious and yells in the kids faces screaming about how her friend designs some of the dresses and if you even touch them the wrong way she grabs your child and adjusts them quite aggressively. My child walked out of this store disrespected with tears because of how mean and cruel she was. They are also overpriced, I purchase expensive clothes but the sweat shirts with tiny print on designs look and feel and look like the brand Gildan, have a price tag of $100! Absolutely not. Maybe I would consider if the owner wasn’t so pushy and didn’t shove clothes in your face. Overall my experience was terrible. Please find cute clothes somewhere else. The hassle with this lady is not worth it.
Linda is lovely. She couldn't have been more helpful with finding great stuff for my daughters. Looking forward to bringing them there in person, soon. Beautiful clothes, too! :
Linda has helped us find the perfect outfit within minutes for a variety of occasions. She’s an absolute expert and her instincts are right on every time. Everyone has off days, but she is really a good person who just wants the girls who come in her store to feel good. Highly recommend.
I was warned not to come to Such a Deal because of the horrible owner but heard the clothes were stylish so I thought I would be able to withstand the poor service. Poor service doesn't begin to describe the experience. The owner was beyond rude, insulting and condescending. I have never been treated this way in a store - ever - not even close. I should have listened to the many others who told me it just isn't worth it. Owner is TERRIBLE and I will never be back. Trust me - it's not worth it. There are a thousand other places to buy clothes.
I only wish I could give this store 0 stars. The staff, including the owner are unequivocally the rudest people I have ever dealt with, and being in sales, i deal with quite a few. The prices are expensive, but being in northbrook, I understand that, and would never begrudge from someone trying to make as much as money as possible. We bought my daughter a Bat Mitzvah dress, and when it was shown to my wife who is unable to walk due to torn tendons in both feet, and upcoming surgery she said the dress was to short and inappropriate for Temple. They then tried to explain that they have a no return policy. The dress was taken out of the bag for 2 minutes, and returned in the exact same condition.The sales staff and the owner were so rude and awful when dealing with them during this process As much as I hate big department stores, and try my best to shop at small stores, this has soured me on that thought process. I really hope people will read this, and avoid this store at all costs. P.S. I ended up calling my CC company stopping payment on this charge, I haven't decided if I'm going to return the dress to them, or donate it to charity.
The clothes prices are so expensive! The people who work there try to bombard you with clothes. But at the same time they are nice. If someone asked me if they should go i would warn them about what they and their prices cut also that they can be nice. This is an ok store.
My daughter always loved the clothes I get from Such A Deal! It's worth the drive.
0 stars!!! I just walked out of the store because the owner was so rude. If you touch something she'll make a loud noise and then refold it . The prices are also ridicules! Not such a deal, such a rip.
Rudest woman ever. I heard her on the phone belittling someone. Disgusting. Walked right out.
