We tried these cupcakes at the BOOtanical this year. I was excited to try them but disappointed. We tried the Fudge cupcake and the Maple Bacon. Both cupcakes were very dry. The frosting was decent but also dried out. I thought the price of $3 a cupcake was too high for the amount and quality we received.
I LOVED THESE CUPCAKES when this place first opened! I am disappointed to say that the last few times I purchased these VERY expensive LITTLE cupcakes they were very dry. For the prices they charge I don't want dry cupcakes. If they are not fresh and on the dry side, sell them at a discount.
** Staff Doesn't Wash Hands** I went to SugarBelles 12/15/12 Glastonbury and was disgusted what I saw. One employee behind the counter didn't wash her hand after she was done assisting the customer before me. Also another employee was eating lunch at a desk to the right of the entrance and assisted a customer without washing her hands either, before handling the cupcakes... she whipped her hands on her jeans then touched the cupcakes. This is nasty. You may want to ask about their policy on sanitary at he stores. Oh, and there was one big nasty fly buzzing around in there probably regurgitating on the cupcakes. fyi - I don't care if the cupcake has a paper bottom
Used to love this place but the staff is now unfriendly and the cupcakes were bone dry. The frosting was even a little hard. Are the owners aware of this change?
