The Summerset Festival of the Arts is a multi- inter-disciplinary arts and science celebration intended to immerse and engage artists, scientists, and visitors in a variety of interactive experiences. The festival is a venue for entertainment and education, and opens the University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County campus – inside and out – to performances, workshops, lectures, screenings, exhibits, demonstrations and contests. Programming is collaboratively offered in theater, music, dance, literary arts, film arts, culinary arts, visual arts, and youth arts - with a strong science component added for 2014. Everyone is a participant -- from the those who perform, display, talk about, demonstrate, and lead workshops to the visitors who enjoy performances, join in hand-on activities, enter contests and learn new skills. This is a festival to celebrate the creativity in all of us, all ages, from beginner to professional!
