Dr. David Meriwether is Board Certified in Urology, offering all aspects of urologic care including a new Holmium laser for stone disease and microwave treatments for prostate problems. Dr. Meriwether has been practicing in Summersville for over 20 years. He is using Summersville Regional Medical Center for all of his urologic surgeries.
He is also a member of the Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 1987. He completed his undergraduate at Trinity College in Connecticut in 1976 with a Bachelors degree in Biology. He went on to attend Medical School from 1976-1980 at the University of Cincinnati, were he received his Medical Degree (MD). From 1980-1982 he completed his residency in General & Vascular Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. After that, he completed his residency in Urology & Kidney transplant from 1982-1986 at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
