About

Summit Christian Academy (SCA) serves over 810 preschool-12th grade students from over 160 churches with a college preparatory Christian education.

Description

SCA is accredited by the North Central Association and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). SCA is a member of the National Institute for Learning Disabilities (NILD). The NILD educational therapy program is designed to give students the tools they need to become successful, independent learners within the regular classroom. All Administrators at Summit Christian Academy are members of the International Association of Christian School Administrators.

Mission

We recognize that parents have a God-given responsibility to provide education for their children. We also recognize that all truth is from God and value the importance of a Christian school education. It is our Christian Academy’s desire to work together with parents and the church to prepare students spiritually, morally, socially and academically, so that they will grow in grace and in the knowledge of God and affect their world for Christ.

This is my daughter's first year at Summit Christian Academy preschool. She absolutely loves going to school. All of the faculty is very welcoming. I couldn't ask for a better school for her to go to.
Our family recently moved to Lexington and were in a private school before we moved. This is our first year at Summit and we love it! The communication, the staff, the ease of their programs and websites. It is great!
The love and kindness shown throughout the teachings of this school achieve beyond the highest of standards. My daughter will continue through this school for her education! Everyday she gets in the car after school she says, “school was amazing!” Wouldn’t change a thing
I like the school. I only went for 1 year. The kids were friendly and mostly good. The teachers and administrators were strict, but I liked most of them. Strict dress code khakis, polo shirt and belt. If your able to focus and get it done in class, homework isn't to bad. I feel like the school bragged a bit and made false claims such as "We are a year ahead of other schools". A Christ-like environment. I'd say send your kids here. It'll be a new experience.

My daughter has been enrolled in the Early Education Program for two years. We love it! She can't wait to go to school and all of the teachers are awesome. If you want a school grounded in high academic standards and faith this is the place for you!
I have 2 children attending SCA. My 5 yr old starts kindergarten next year; she is already reading, counting to 100, and doing addition and subtraction. Their preschool/pre-k program is Christ centered and phenomenal. My son is in 3rd grade. His teachers push him to do more when they see he has is getting bored. They are beacons to God's light in everything they do. Each year the teachers get together and figure out which class the students will go to the next year. They have chosen the perfect teacher for my child each year. They have a way of keeping a very energetic and rambunctious boy on task and engaged in the lessons. He comes home weekly and teaches me something new, both in general studies as well as biblical stories/lessons. The cost for attendance is not cheap, but the school's value is far greater than anything they could charge. Sending my children to this school is the best decision I could have made for their education. I hope I will be able to continue sending my children here for years to come.
This school is gud. There are certain rules such as the strict dress code, which i dont get why we cant express our selves...make no sense, but okay. Hope, keep trying for that petition against dress code, ull get it eventually. Corona has caused some people like me to leave for a bit, and I just miss seeing people there and not having to teach my self. SCA is a good school, has a good variety of lunch options, but isnt as expressive as public school *EDIT* dont get it twisted, the school is a good one
My family has been part of the SCA community for 4 years now and it’s been wonderful. We homeschooled for 10 years and decided to put our youngest 2 kids in a private school to finish out their years and we are so glad we did. It’s been great. Thanks, SCA. Here’s a rainbow I captured right before a soccer game that flowed over the campus. Seems a perfect for a rainbow to land.
