Sumner Gun & Supply, a family-owned, full-service gun store and shooting range located in Gallatin, Tennessee, is proud to be Sumner County's premier gun range. Here, you’ll find a wide selection of new and used sporting, hunting and defense handguns, rifles and shotguns, as well as holsters, magazines, bags and cases, scopes and other optics, accessories, ammunition, and cleaning supplies. In addition, we offer group and personalized trainings led by certified instructors for anyone interested in shooting basics, self-defense, Tennessee carry permit, and guard training and recertification, as well as gun cleaning/repairs and gun accessory installation/adjustments handled by our experienced staff. Since we first opened our doors in 2009, our mission has been to provide our customers with a satisfying shopping and shooting experience every time they visit.

The Staff at Sumner Gun & Supply is what makes this store my go-to place when looking for a new firearm and/or ammo. My friends and I are there almost every other week either looking around or using the range, the Staff are always friendly, greeting us at the door and willing to help out in whatever way they can. I've had the pleasure of getting to know some of the Staff members personally, I've seen their dedication and passion to help out the customers whether its purchasing a gun, online transfers, or even guidance/knowledge. This is what makes it special and I've never felt pressured into buying anything just so they could make a sale like I have experienced at other stores. I highly recommend visiting the store to meet the amazing Staff and checking out their inventory. It'll be a pleasant memorable moment just as it has for my friends and I.
Sumner gun and supply are top notch in customer service! Went there today and they treated me so well that I wanted to spend money. They went out of their way to get me squared away on the range even though I had barely anything with me and made sure that it was a meaningful time. Thank you guys for an amazing experience at your store. I will be back for sure.
We stopped in looking for a lady friendly carry pistol. Our first visit. Greeted at the door. Plenty to choose from that was in our budget. We purchased the Taurus 856 revolver with no hammer spur. Ladies shoot at the indoor range for FREE! Kiosk was easy to register. Positive experience for us.
Bought a flashlight from them, didn’t work. Brought it back a couple days later and hour and a half round trip drive for me and they told me to contact the manufacturer about replacing it. They don’t have a return policy at all. So you can buy something that is literally non-operational and they tell you to pack sand it’s someone else’s problem now.
Ordered an FFL item from sumner and had to contact them a couple times. Customer service was great and their employees are very knowledgeable.

Went in there to enquire about a Handgun carry permit class for my son, ah won’t make that mistake again. First statement out of his mouth after he eventually puts his phone down to acknowledge me , it’s illegal for anyone under 21 to own a handgun in Tennessee, ah no you can gift a handgun to your son provided he is not a prohibited person. Next you can not get a permit in Tennessee if you’re under 21, I tried explaining that there is an exception for active duty Military, no there are no exceptions. After this point it was clear the I work at a gun store so I am the quasi expert mentality was pervasive. So yeah this was going nowhere fast, time to move on. At least my experience there led me to check out another store where they were more than helpful and get this were knowledgeable and helpful.
Swing by here when you have the chance. You won't be disappointed. The staff does not leave you waiting to be addressed upon arrival. All questions I had were answered thorough enough to showcase the staff's in depth knowledge of firearms and in store products. I have done my time in sporting goods stores, and this experience was certainly my favorite. The staff is personable and professional. I felt like a customer, and not a potential sale. The products they provide cover a wide range of applications, and availability is not a concern uncommon in most stores lately. Pricing seemed competitive, and I do a lot of research before purchasing. If you are shopping for your spouse, the staff will be quick to tell you to bring them back with you. To me that shows an interest in properly equipping the customer instead of making an on the spot sale. I had a pleasant experience all around. All range rules and restrictions are clearly posted, and the staff will walk you through the process if you need help. I was back in this store within 24 hours of my first purchase here. I checked the website before arriving, and found more information than other sporting goods websites I've been on regarding inventory and services. I could say more, but couldn't say enough. Don't hesitate. See you guy soon.

I was there today i bought a glock a month ago. Glock inc. was sending me a replacement part but could only send it to a glock certified armorer, they would not let me get it sent to them even though i just purchased the gun from them. This is my 7th fire arm from this store, so I have spent a ton of money on guns and accessories with these guys. I went down to Hendersonville guns and leather, they let me get the part I needed sent there and they had the perfect attitude and customer serv at Hendersonville guns and leather they have my business from now on. You guys lost a loyal customer today. I will not even use my free range passes here they can have them back.
