when I’m here in person, the workers are always kind and helpful. I’ll never forget i needed something for my birthday and it was during the ice storm in WA, i was really hoping i can get the package on that date. Due to Ivey roads the deliveries were delayed but the postal office was still opened and they helped me to intercept my package from the back and pick it up in the postal office since the delivery trucks weren’t going to make it out! Thankful for their support and diligence
Do not try to do a walk-in passport application here. After waiting in line for over an hour, their walk-in "hours" it's 1 hour, 4 days a week ended and they turned away all of us who were still waiting. You could at least have the courtesy to tell us in advance that you likely won't be able to get to us so we don't waste our time in line. I had to take time off work and drive 30 minutes to get here, just to have my time completely wasted. Absolutely horrible!
If I could give this place a 0 star i would. Don't even try to do a passport here. First thing you won't find a open appointment. They claim they're booked out but online there isn't any dates no matter how far you look. They're kinda rude about it too and don't tell you things like the copies of birth certificates you need then when you bring everything you need a check or money order. Complete joke. This on top of actual mail problems this place is notorious for.
I have ordered six packages this last month, all of which disappeared once they reached the Sumner location. At this point I’m wondering if they’re just stealing because it doesn’t make sense to be this bad at your job.
This was several years back, but thought about it recently after talking about a user on reddit. Figured I'd share my experience here too. Went there to pickup mail because we moved and had a new address. I got in line and was a good 10-12 feet back from the customer that was at the counter. Well, I looked up and connected eye to eye to the older gentlemen behind the counter for a split second. Then all of a sudden he yelled and said I need to STEP BACK because I'm too close to the customer and could steal her information. I've never really been confronted like that while just idly standing in line waiting. I said "what? i'm not even that close I'm way back here buddy". First time I used the word buddy out loud in a rude tone and my heart started racing. I matched his rude energy I guess. Anyways, never again. Worst post office I've ever been to. I'm 30 years old and I don't know how many post office lines, bank lines, grocery store lines, etc I've been to. Have never been yelled at like that.
Most worst disgraceful excuse of a post office I’ve ever experienced! Seriously, what the heck is wrong with them? I haven’t received my mail in almost a month! Took way too long to setup our mailbox in our new home. Lost many packages and letters that they claim that has been delivered, when in reality our box has been empty for weeks. Not helpful with this issue when we stopped by in person. They repeat the same claim that there’s simply no mail for us here and that it’s getting delivered to our mail box and that they will reach out to their supervisor. Incredibly not professional of them to be losing important letters. I’ve heard the same issue from many of my neighbors as well. Would rate them a 0 if it was an option.
Katie, Jen and Mary were all so kind and extremely helpful and empathetic during my experience. Both on the phone and in person. I could tell they were very busy and some people were rude to them but they kept their patience and smiles all the way through. I have never had such a good experience at a post office as I did today in Sumner. Thank you ladies!! You have no idea how much your kindness and assistance meant to me during a personally stressful day.
Good most of time but the mailman On Thursday Lost my package I talk To women She Told There was nothing She Could do nothing I Hope they can Find it But I just asked for my money back on eBay. Hopefully I get it if I don’t get my package they are a pain in the neck. You’re better off ordering stuff on Amazon. I have lost letters too
Working for the public isn’t easy. They have a crazy amount of packages that seem to come and go through this post office, even in the middle of the day. I watched several folks at the counter be incredibly patient as local residents told them what they needed, and they calmly made sure that everyone was helped with address changes, lost mail, technology issues, etc. Being able to do all of this with a smile on their faces, and I have a nice day is pretty amazing, thank you, Sumner post office!
Our mail carrier is THE WORST!!!! NEVER picks up our outgoing mail, drives ON our lawn and when confronted, gaslights us like its OUR fault!!! Never met a more incompetent person that try's to go out of their way to NOT do their job! No idea how she got hired!
