This is the best gym anyone could go to! Lizzie is by far the best trainer any human being could have! With her help and meal plans and all the advice she has given I am in the best shape I have ever been in. Shane is always around motivating as well… they are Barbie and Ken and the nicest humans ever.. the gym is friendly and welcoming I highly highly recommend this gym if you want to get healthy in a fun and welcoming place! Lizzie and Shane are definitely a BIG BONUS! By the way, I’m pretty grouchy and they still like me and train me!
BEST GYM I’VE EVER BEEN A PART OF. I recently just had a baby and was feeling insecure about going to a gym because most gyms you automatically feel judged for not being in the best shape.. but not this one! Everyone is super friendly and encouraging... it feels like a family. They have TONS of equipment so you never have to be waiting around. Shane and Lizzie are SO KIND, knowledgeable and hard working. They have been incredible trainers and extremely encouraging on my fitness journey! Very grateful for this gym!
Sun City Athletic Club’s owners Shane and Lizzie are kind and truly care for their members. They have the best trainers who are friendly, knowledgeable, and care for you to do better. They have a wide variety of gym equipment not found at other gyms. The staff and members are always super kind and helpful. You won’t feel judged here! Truly a judgment free zone. Gym is always clean, they provide cleaning spray and rag to clean machine equipment after use. They also go out of their way and provide towels for you in case you need one, fresh clean towels every day! A gym that actually makes me look forward to going every day.
I came to this gym “Sun City” 4 years ago as a stepping stone. What I mean by that is that I was waiting on the Planet Fitness on Artcraft the one behind Walmart to be built. Planet Fitness has been built for a couple of years now & not once have I gone there. I’ve passed by there but have not gone in & I have no need to as I feel very comfortable at Sun City, the Vibe there is just so Sun City meaning it’s uniqueness . Shane, Lizzy, & all the trainers there make it feel the way it does.
Best Gym In El Paso trained with Lizzie for over 4 years, lost 25lbs and gained muscle & knowledge with her. gym feels like home, so much cool equipment you won’t find at a standard gym. Love that I can dress cute and not feel weird around the guys, I felt like I was part of a community here. I recently moved and miss the gym so much! Haven’t found anything like it and probably won’t. They have so many people there motivating each other, different styles of trainers and overall great vibe definitely a gym where you can learn, grow and improve your overall health.
This was a great place to workout when I first started at this gym. I was with them for about 2 years. However, when Covid hit we were informed we could not cancel our membership as it would affect their business. They sent an email out saying no cancellations would be made due to Covid restrictions. At the time I decided to stay with it as I believed I’d be going back. Fast forward to May 2022, I cancelled my membership as I wanted to switch to a new gym. I filled out their cancellation form in person and assumed all would be taken care of. As of September 2022, I was still being charged. I went in again in person to voice my concerns. The attendant did not make me fill out the form as I instructed him I had already done so. He then made me right out on a paper my information which I never received a call. Now in October of 2022, I am still being charged. When I asked to provide a refund the owners informed me I could not get one as a form had never been filled out. These owners at first seemed like genuine people. But over time it has shown they have favorites in their gym and do not care about running a business. This is extremely unprofessional. If you’re looking to switch here my suggestion is don’t.
Amazing community Lizzie and Shane were very helpful and welcoming a place to come and have a good workout. Their staff is always very polite greets you with a smile and always with a helping hand. Best on the west side.
For anyone looking for a gym with, open space, all types of equipment, nutrition plans, supplements, shake bar, amazing energetic atmosphere, and incredible staff, this is the gym for you. I’ve been a member of the gym for two years and I can personally attest to each member their staff wanting to help you be the best version of yourself and that starts from the top down with the owners Lizzie and Shane Martinez. Or $25 a month it’s the best bargain in town and I wouldn’t go any other place except for Sun City Athletic Club…I finally found my gym home!!
Best gym in El Paso, newbie friendly, great people, owners are awesome. Friendly staff. Good and competitive pricing. Highly recommend.
I had never been to this gym and was there with my nephew to workout, good atmosphere, good staff and very comfortable workout area!
