The Sun Prairie Area School District is one of the fastest growing school districts in Wisconsin, with more than 8200 students. We have 7 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 upper middle school, 1 high school, 1 alternative learning school, and a 4K program. Sun Prairie is a thriving, increasingly diverse community conveniently located in south central Wisconsin. We are minutes from Madison and close to both Milwaukee and Chicago. The city provides an excellent blend of affordability and high quality of life for its residents. The community is supportive of education, passing eleven building referendums in the past 10 years, most recently a referendum for $89.5M to build two elementary schools, address capital maintenance, and purchase land. Sun Prairie is known for its historic downtown, quality schools, outstanding parks, and safe neighborhoods.
