Sunnyside Campground

Was pretty and well liked but visitor prices for one day was like 50 dollars and parts of the docks were sinking in. The men's bathroom was also out of service. But the atmosphere was lovely and very kid friendly. Restrooms: Indoor showers and restrooms. Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leash at all times

I just wanted to let everyone know my trailer was park at Sunnyside retreat in Westport. I was going up there with my 5 year old niece August long weekend as she was staying with me for the weekend. I informed Sunnyside that she was coming when I got there they told me she couldn’t stay because my brother or her mother was not there with her. Again she is 5 and she was there July long weekend . ‍ Thought Sunnyside retreat was a family campground as Advertised.

Welcome to the lovely Town of Westport. Sunnyside Campground is a lovely place to view -- but you will have to prepare yourselves to pay for absolutely EVERYTHING - and be treated with contempt by the owners. We work hard to provide a Clean, Quiet, Family oriented community for all to enjoy. We appreciate the positive comments, and respect everyone’s right to their opinions. As business owners for 26 years and now and three generations, it is difficult to accept negative feedback. We work endlessly to try and achieve above satisfaction from all our customers. Please take all comments with a grain of salt, as some use reviews as a forum to express their frustrations. We encourage all to contact us or visit our facility to form your own opinions. There is nothing better than seeing with your own eyes our beautiful park. We have policies in place to protect you and our business. We are up front, truthful and open to all communication with our Members. There is no small print. Sunnyside is a full-service park providing its Members many maintenance services. We are a dealer for Canadian products such as Northlander trailers and Sunspace Sunrooms. We do sell trailers for owners on our lots, as a service to our Members for a fee. All our services provide revenues for the park which in turn allows us to upgrade facilities, infrastructure, and activities. In response to some of the negative comments, they come from a single couple who because of private issues had to sell their trailer after only a couple of years with us. We feel many comments are unfair and untruthful. Their trailer sold on our very best waterfront lot in two weeks even after we closed for the season. Yes, we are busy on weekends as we are 99% full, and have fabulous fishing, boating and swimming, as part of the Rideau Canal system. This I can’t apologize for. Please come visit us as we would love to show you around.

This is a Seasonal campground, very family orientated ! Have been here for 32 years! Recommend highly!
