The Sunnyvale Historical Society and Heritage Park Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public and preserving the history of Sunnyvale and Silicon Valley. The museum showcases the rich history of the valley and preserves it for future generations. We are fully a volunteer organization, with no paid staff, and we are always looking for new volunteers to help out in front and behind the scenes.
We officially opened to the public in October of 2008, and we have been expanding our programs and exhibits ever since. Yearly, we host more than 1500 third-graders for field trips to educate them on the history of the first pioneers to the valley. We hold quarterly meetings, bringing in speakers of varied subjects, and we bring the community together to celebrate historical aspects of Sunnyvale and the surrounding area.
