At Sunrise Eye Associates, we do eyes. My license plate says just that: IDOEYZ. My training is extensive and ongoing. I am residency trained from Salus University and am a clinical instructor for The Pennsylvania College of Optometry providing an externship site at my practice. He is the former owner of Sunrise Optical in Port Richmond; sold in 2011.

We see all age groups, from infants at six months of age to adults. And we provide comprehensive professional services, ranging from routine vision exams and emergency services to the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease.
Children are a special area of interest to Dr. Gold. All infants should be seen by the age of 1; the best age being 9 months. Your infant does not know how to communicate at this age so Dr. Gold's testing involves measurements of the eye to prevent a lazy eye and to check for early signs of disease.
Rounding out our offerings, we have a wide assortment of over 700 frames. Dr. Gold will make specific recommendations about the best lenses for you based upon your needs and expenses. Besides being an Optometric Physician, Dr. Gold has been an optician for many years so is more aware of the new lens options on the market.
Dr. Gold is able to fit all types of contact lenses including bifocal, astigmatic, colored and gas permeable contact lenses to accommodate your family's health and lifestyle needs.

And a separate, child-friendly play area - complete with video games, television and DVD player - helps keep the little ones occupied while they're waiting.
Dr. Gold wants you to be comfortable during your visit; his exam chair being ergonomically designed to keep your back comfortable during your dilated retinal exam.
