Cannot say enough good things about this small market. We've shopped here every time we come to St. Augustine, 3-4 times a year, and never been disappointed. The butcher section is fabulous; the selection of chutneys, datil jams and other condiments small but carefully curated. But what really stands out are the homemade items - make sure you try their sourdough loaves!! Cheeses again carefully chosen; they could have talked me into purchasing a much more expensive cheese than I wound up buying, but the woman was honest and forthright. Their to-go foods are always great, too. Make sure to try the lemon hummus. The salmon "dip" is much more like a smoked salmon spread, perfect on a piece of good crusty bread with a little lemon and pepper. I have no idea why one reviewer said the owner and staff are rude. I have never, ever, found them anything but friendly and helpful. I wish we had a clone of this place where we live. As it is, I'm giving up on most of the local restaurants and sticking with food from these folks. I may even buy some steak to take home!!!
Visited for the first time today 12.21.22 after a coworker introduced me to their biltong. One bite and I started asking where I could get more. Went today and a lady greeted me at the door and led me to what I needed. From there Deborah took care of me answering all of my questions, immersing me in the experience and helping me pick out everything I wanted. Will be going back again. Great selection of meats, cheeses, bread, spreads, and beverages too.
There is nothing better than being many thousands of miles from home and finding a little piece of home, right on your doorstep. For ANY south Africans who visit Florida and for ANYONE interested in sampling some typical South African foods, like "Boerewors" Sausage, Biltong Jerky or Condiments, like Chutney, this is most certainly the place. The store is very clean, very well stocked and perfectly set up and the staff - especially the owners - are wonderful!
New location is clean orderly and spacious. Great selection of fine foods and a good number of friendly staff to help with questions. I bought some hot sauces thus time and will expand my purchases next time.

Love this place! Peter and his team are always helpful and they know their trade. We go at least 2-3 times a month and the selection of meats, chicken, chops and seafood is always fresh and looks great. I’m a huge fan of their wine selection as well as you don’t see many of the wines they carry in local grocery stores. @Fresh Market Island is amazing!!!
Literally the best steaks I've ever found. Better than any restaurant, or any other local butcher. I'm blown away every time I buy beef here.

My husband Jim found this store two years ago and has been back several times. They have excellent cuts of meat. They make their own sausage including the best Italian sausage he has ever tasted. Upon request, they made smoked kielbasa and it was great. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and well organized. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
If you’re looking for less “fried-fried” and more refined selections of premium ingredients for a discriminating palate, you could not go wrong here. Fresh, hand made baguette, Wagyu beef and seafood, hand selected produce, and an excellent, curated wine selection will complete any feast. The owners and staff were lovely and helpful.
