Have been coming here for years & finally brought my kids. They absolutely love it! We go on Saturday for the kids morning skate & lessons before. The prices are good & we even just had our son's birthday here. We even got his great grandpa on some skates which brought back so many memories for him & my wife. I love that they do little games for the kids like limbo, red light green light. All the kids have so much fun. The snack bar has yummy food, you can even order a whole pizza if you want. After 50 years in business this place is still awesome. The staff is really nice too! They have skate assistants for anyone who may need a little help. Definitely recommend for a family fun adventure.
Our girls love this place for weekend fun. Pro: •affordable •decently clean •rental skates are maintained •ok selection of snacks for purchasing Con: •people aren't using the lockers and leaving their items on the table and leaving no room for people who needs them. •lack of ac or air circulation - it gets hot •smell from the bathroom goes inside the Kind Camelot room if your using this for a party •birthday party felt very rushed - for the money spent Overall still recommend this place.
We've been going to Sunrise Rollerland since our girls were in preschool. Don't let the vacant mall parking lot dissuade you from taking your family for a great time! They offer "rolling walkers" for brand new skaters. Their birthday party packages are excellent. And for the experienced skater, join the speed skating team. You can make new friends for life!
It’s been about 14 years since I’ve been to this roller rink. There are three in the greater area and most of the events I go to are usually at the Tibet two locations. The location over all and inside setup is not the at bad and about on par with the other two. My biggest issue with this visit was the quality of the rental gear. I would consider myself an above average skater and the first pair of skates I received were severely out of balance. During my first lap the wheels felt as I’d they were trying to go in different directions which made crossover turns impossible. I took the skates back and explained what was going on the rental guys not sure if they put them in a repair pile or just back in circulation. The next pair I requested the old school leather skates and felt and preformed much better. I was not the only person who experienced the issue with unbalanced rental gear. In the group I was with four of the other people had experienced the same issue. I would hope the staff check the gear and preforms routine maintenance so customers can have a more pleasant experience.
Had a blast! Love the games, great music and fun. Went on a Sunday so it was busy but were able to snag a table for our pizza and drinks. Their skates could use an upgrade, they have been thru a lot. Also they didn’t spray them when they took them back so that was kinda gross. All the staff was really friendly! If you buy before hand on their website there’s a deal for 4 people with pizza and drinks!
Always a great time... nice smooth rink, friendly staff, and a great snack bar! We will be returning again
My first time here was for a Roller Sport Competition. I found the castel theme totallly enchanting. It's like a renaissance fair. Signs in thick bold wood carved style explain rules and spotlight special event rooms. Many of the walls are capeted which cuts down on the noise and keeps the music on the floor. It's the quietest roller rink I have ever been in. LOVE IT!
Fun skate rink. A lot of nostalgic vibes. Good music and well made floor. I was told to slow down multiple times even though there were groups going much faster and more aggressively. I haven’t hit or knocked over anyone and I’m very respectful. These other people were very inconsiderate and skating recklessly. It was very frustrating and annoying to be called out when I’m just there to relax. I was watching out for kids and slowed down when necessary. Other then that it’s a fun place with reasonable prices. The kids working there just need to chill with the mic when it comes to people just having fun. And if you’re going to call someone out, at least be consistent and call the rest out.
Very fun, odd location, staff don't rlly care about anything and the food line was very long. Will come back though I had a super fun time.
Best skating rink in the Sacramento area! We frequently come here for kids' birthday parties, and we've had a couple here ourselves. For birthday parties, all the kids get to skate first and then you have a room for pizza, cake and presents. The kids and adults all have a great time! There's a snack bar with popcorn, icees, churros, pretzels, nachos and other small bites. Overall a fun way to spend a couple of hours in Sacramento
