Sunset Funeral Home in Champaign, specifically Jody Buffalo, took care of the cremation of our daughter - and did so with great, genuine compassion. We left the appointment able to smile some through many tears, and comforted by getting exactly what we wanted for our daughter. This is something no one can fathom having to do in life - and Sunset made the weight of it a little lighter. To Jody and Sunset’s wonderful staff, thank you.
HINDU CREMATION: I am grateful for the professional and attentive service provided by Andrew for my Dad's funeral. We wanted a Hindu Cremation and Andrew and the staff were nice to offer the service at their Danville facility. Thank you to Andrew and the staff of Sunset.
Sunset is amazing. Jody Buffalo was our liaison for my father's recent services, and she was so professional, compassionate, and accommodating. The facility is absolutely lovely, and not dreary. Of course we all hate that funerals are a fact of life, but Sunset made the experience as painless as possible for our family.
They just completed the funeral for my mother yesterday. Her makeup was perfect, the funeral home in champaign was beautiful and the staff are wonderful, diligent, and extremely helpful. I couldn't have chose a better place to have my moms funeral. Thank you to the staff at sunset funeral home for your expertise and kindness.
Sunset Funeral Home handled the arrangements for my mother in December 2018. Andrew at the Champaign location was wonderful to work with. He was passionate, professional and caring each step of the process. In Central Illinois, I highly recommend Sunset Funeral Homes.
We worked with Jody Buffalo during this very difficult time in our lives and she was first class all the way. Jody showed compassion, had a wealth of knowledge and went out of her way to help us with getting flowers and some belongings to the family post service. In a very dark time, Jody was truly a hero to our family.
My dog was put down on a Saturday. I wanted to go to sunset. Well it's the weekend so the price was 175 plus 100 for the weekend. Then my vet had to hold him till Monday really. What a inconvenience. No one works on the weekend and 100 dollars more. Are the charging by the feet and everyone wants paid before anything happens really I think they need to be more understanding.
They let me do the funeral the way I wanted without any sales pressure. Always friendly and helpful even after everything was over. Would highly recommend Sunset funeral home.
This is a wonderful place to go for the passing of your loved ones. I didnt have the money right away for my moms services and andrew had us pick out everything we needed for the services and did not once ask us for money right then or anything he did a wonderful job along with jodi to make my moms services the best they can be we would recommend this facility to anyone it is a wonderful place they even had a playroom for our 4 yr old.
They go above and beyond when providing services. We worked with Andrew regarding the loss of our beloved Achilles and his level of empathy is rare and embracing. Thank you!
