A lovely wide open area, with splash pad, basketball court, soccer field, walking trail, with playground and baseball field on other side of parking lot.
This a good park to play ball! Only negatives: currently only bathrooms/port a potties near concession stand--which is a hike from the fields.
I always love going through the park on a good bike ride. I went to sunset festival and had the time of my life. If only they did it bigger and better this year..
Great place for baseball. Biggest issue is they have only 1 bathroom for men and one for women with only single toilets. The park is huge. Bring a lawn chair to the game. They do have a small play area for small children.
Lake In The Hills has continuously improved this park over the past several years. They have baseball, soccer, football and even cricket fields. They just recently replaced the playground equipment and they also have a water feature or splash pad for the younger kids to play in. They only thing that could be improved is to somehow add parking and traffic control.
Sunset has something for everyone... Baseball fields, football fields, soccer and lacrosse as well. During the baseball season, the concession stands are open to everyone. There is a generous park, with a large parking lot. In addition there is a free splash pad for all ages, that is kept clean and in good working order until Labor Day every year.
Apparently nobody ice skates there. Went after a snowfall and eventually found the rink. It was covered in about 6 inches of snow. The park is huge and there is no signage where the rink is. The LITH website was down, so I was able to find a little information about it's whereabouts through surfing other pages. While I was attempting to shovel the rink a LITH pickup snowplow came by. He watched me shovel the rink for a few minutes before leaving. There was a barricade blocking cars from going on the path from the rink to the parking lot. I assumed he was going to go around somehow, but he never returned.
Ive lived a bit from here for my whole life. Beautiful spot, for sure. I use the swings a ton there. I miss the old equipment, but, win some lose some
Great field singular, one for 13-14u and one good one for little kids. Then they have this huge mixture of fields who's outfield are other fields. But the bullpens for the 13 and 14u field are garbage, plants everywhere and not well maintained.
kinda ugly, but where it's beauty is lacking, its size makes up for it. If you enjoy going on walks/are someone where size matters- this is the park for you.
