Freshman entry, residence, bachelors of science in Nursing leading to RN licensure eligibility
SUNY Plattsburgh Nursing offers a traditional freshman entry program for individuals who wish to become registered nurses (RNs). This program takes approximately four years of full-time study. The second program is for registered nurses who wish to continue their education. Both programs lead to a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Nursing.
We offer a traditional 4 year program and a Registered Nurse program, either online or at an onsite location at CVPH Hospital and at SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury.
Plattsburgh Nursing

We prepare students to become excellent professional nurses capable of meeting the dynamic health care needs of individuals, families, groups, and communities.
Our Nursing Major Allows You To:
•Prepare for a nursing career in a wide range of institutional and community settings.
•Be eligible to sit for the professional nurse licensing examination (NCLEX-RN).
•Go on to graduate school.
