You don't get maids in uniform. You don't get made to order omelets for breakfast. You don't get a mint on your pillow and plush robes. You don't get a beautiful view of a mountain stream or ocean side cabana. You do get a quiet and clean room, and a nice comfortable bed. You do get some chow for breakfast. You do get a very friendly and accommodating staff. If it were $200 a night room I'd give it three stars. It's not. It's a $60 a night room and worth every single penny. And it seems EVERYTHING in Tuscaloosa is really close. If you show up with $60 dollar a night expectations, you will be very pleased. If you're a $200 a night diva, you will find something to complain about. Rooms: Rooms were dated, but very clean. Nearby activities: Everything is close, without being congested
The check-in phone didn't work, and I needed some towels and washcloths. The bathroom wasn't cleaned at all. I had to use my soap and water to make the room more comfortable for my children us bathrooms. I woke up in the morning or the night at six am Roaches were running all over the room. I checked out right at that moment.The manager said I couldn't get a full refund because i spent a few hours in the room and was charged a 20% cleaning fee. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody, even if it's a last-minute resort.
The room was ok but nothing impressive. At 11pm the staff was vacuuming the hallway and the entire hotel smelled like weed. But a plus is that they are dog friendly and it only cost 20 to keep my pooch with meRooms: 3/5
Great location right off of 59. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, but outdated, that's ok for the price, I'd rather have cleanliness and worn furniture over the opposite! They seem to be refurbishing....the breakfast room was modern and very nice!Rooms: 3/5
The price was great. The room was clean. The facility is a little dated. Also had a small roach infestation that needs attention. I’m getting old, and climbing to the 3rd floor with by bags was a little challenging. The breakfast was pretty good, location is great, internet was above average. Overall it was a pleasant stay and a good value.
It is what it is. The room was decent. The air conditioning worked. The shower was hot. If I could have found a room somewhere else, I would have stayed somewhere else, but all rooms were taken, and the 8 was OK.Rooms: 3/5
Helpful staff, we had a clogged sink and they took care of it hours after we told them. Convenient location, close to Walmart and Sam's. Very noisy though, too close to the road plus we had a window facing the road that we couldn't close completely, there was an inch and a half crack and every time someone smoked in the parking lot we smelled it in our room.
Bed was horrible, no cold water, half the few power outlets didn’t work. A lamp you had to unplug to turn off since the switch on it was broken. It was right off i20 so that was a plus.Rooms: 1/5
Lobby and hallway does not lock. Some guy trying and knocking on doors. So people are yelling about it. Smells like weed. Rooms are pretty gross. Dog food and a pacifier in the corner. I give up. Rooms: Dirty Safety: Lobby not secure. All entrances do not lock.
Great front desk staff! Upon arrival, Anthony at the front desk greeted us with a big smile and patiently answered my questions regarding their satellite TV service important to my son. Anthony went out of his way to make our stay a pleasant one. The next morning, Tanya was also friendly and considerate. She even made new coffee so that I could have a fresh cup greatly appreciated! The room was clean, ac worked well, and bathroom was clean as well. The towels were thinner than at the more costly hotels but perfectly adequate. In summary, I was very happy with this hotel. The room had all the necessities for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. Anthony and Tanya were professional, helpful, and are huge assets for this Super 8.
