Bought some glasses and a tshirt and upon walking out the door I realize the sunglasses have a defect in the lenses so I go back in and look to see if they had a similar pair to swap out for and 2 of the women who clearly seen me in their paying for my items stop me and accuse me of stealing everything in my bag. Mind you I literally paid and walked out and came right back in! No one’s memory is that bad! Maybe you should get off the “teléfono” and be more polite to your customers and actually give them a receipt! I hope this place gets shut down.

Small but plentiful surf shop with a variety of products and friendly, talkative staff. Notably carries 18+ products like pipes, shotglasses, innuendo gag gifts, etc, but also has many swimsuits, t-shirts, and other surf products with a wide appeal!

Unfortunately the letters peeled the first time I washed the shirt on gentle and let it air dry. $16.99. Facebook response told me to call the store. The store phone number won't allow me to leave a message. I'm angry because my 9 year old daughter wanted this shirt. I'm disappointed that the store won't make any effort to right this wrong.

This is the most wonderful store on the strip to get your sweatshirts tshirts souvenirs and clothes and bathing suits in general. My husband and I were there for a week and we got to know some of the people that worked there and spoke with the owner. The most wonderful people you will meet. They are lovely. We can’t wait to go back to see them. We are even trying to order more now that we are back because we love their sweatshirts so much!

Do not buy elf bars from here, they are fake

First of all, walking in to surfing usa was much different from any other establishment on the beach. Everyone there was accommodating friendly and also a family owned business with a family feel. We will be back late this summer. Definitely a must stop one-stop shop.

Absolutely disgusted by this store! The staff followed my biracial white/black adult children around the store the entire time we were in there. They didn’t bother following meI’m white! I refused to let any of them spend any money in the store. I refuse to support racist people! When confronted the lady conveniently claimed she didn’t speak English! Steer clear of this store.

My daughter and her family went to Clearwater Beach on vacation earlier this month. They bought several items from this shop, including 5 or 6 t-shirts. The lettering on some of the shirts began peeling off almost immediately after they got back from vacation. They had not been worn, they were still in the bag from the store. She reached out to them to see if there was anything they would do and they never got back with her. I realize that we live several states away, but they could have returned the email, asked for some pictures of the shirts and possibly at least offered a partial refund.

This place has some of the best prices for apparel that you'll find anywhere in this area. The workers were especially friendly and made sure to take care of everyone. It's a bit hidden compared to the other stores on the strip, but it's worth checking out if you need some items for your trip or just want to pick up some merch to take back with you.

We attempted to go into the shop tonight. My daughters went in before us and a lady told them "We close in 2 minutes. They decided to leave after because they felt uncomfortable. Considering it was 12 minutes to the hour- I felt it was an odd time to close. I understand that it was close to closing time. That wasn't the issue. The issue is the way she spoke to my children. It was clearly evident she was annoyed. This lady needs to remember it is not what you say, but it is how you say it that matters! I highly recommend anyone looking for souvenirs while visiting Clearwater Beach - avoid this store and walk a mere 20 feet to Surf Style. The customer service is completely night and day from one another!! I assure you all that at Surf Style you will no be made to feel like you are an inconvenience to the workers - even if it is close to closing time! I did not mind spending $232.17 - because they cared to help us find the perfect souvenirs and gifts. Sadly, I am sure that a smaller business like Surfing USA could have benefited from a $200+ sale especially with the pandemic. Which they could have gotten a $200 + sale if they would not treat customers like an inconvenience. I hope that they take my words to heart and realize that the way you make people still matters.
