Surgcenter Palm Beach Gardens

While we have several concerns with this surgical center, the purpose of this review is to share our payment experience. My husband had surgery in mid Aug 2023. They called a few days in advance to let us know that we would need to pay on the day of the surgery. We were led to be that this was our total cost excluding the anesthesiologist which would be invoiced separately. Our doctor had the same process so it seemed routine. Post surgery, after processing the claims with our insurance 80/20 split, we owed the doctor $0 but the surgical center sent us an invoice for three times the original stated amount! When I called, the woman explained that the amount collected pre-surgery is "simply" an estimate. I asked to see the pre-surgery estimate and the post-surgery final costs and was told that was not possible. I am sure that they use the same medical software as the doctor but they must be horribly bad at it. Feel sorry for the patients that were being called and told that their upfront cost was $6,000 when in reality, if they have our experience, they could receive another invoice showing their total cost was $18,000. The other invoicing issue is the harassment. Within days of surgery, they started sending both emails and text messages regarding how to pay the amount owed. Given that this was an unexpected expense, it took a two paychecks to have the money to pay them and the payment was submitted online less than 30 days from the date of the surgery. Today, we received another round of harassing emails and texts even though the payment cleared our checking account several days ago. Will NEVER use this surgical center again and have share this experience with our doctor so hopefully he reconsiders his affiliation with this company.

My family member had orthopedic surgery at this facility and received horrible treatment. He was discharged with in excruciating pain, level 8 out of 10, with uncontrolled blood pressures in 180’s, and was shivering uncontrollably. He could barely move. When asked Katie RN for at least a blanket was told “No” that “it’s Florida, you will warm up..” and was hurried into the vehicle. She appeared angry, impatient and bothered. She was very rude, arrogant, sarcastic, cold, stand-offish, and unprofessional. She could not wait to get rid of him. He was released in bad condition. She did not care about the needs or concerns of the patient and she did not care to offer any help or assistance. I definitely would not recommend to any family or friends. Horrible experience. Don’t waste your time here.

Just had knee surgery here. This is a thoughtful caring group from reception to exit. My Dr, my anesthesia team, and all nurses were all informative and caring. Post-op info and follow up call was very much appreciated

Very good experience from check in to discharge. Staff was friendly and met almost every expectation. They promised to inform my wife when I went into surgery, they missed on that point. Other than that, I appreciated the entire staff taking great care to ensure I was comfortable every step of the way.

The experience has not been pleasant the several times I have been here. The Receptionist Kathy is rude, and dismissive. No acknowledgement when the desk is approached I guess unless she likes you, yes I witnessed that. She needs to attend a customer service course to fix her nasty attitude. Patients do not come here because they are feeling happy go lucky, THEY ARE IN PAIN and the last thing they need is to be treated poorly, this is UNACCEPTABLE! As an organization, you don't even deserve one star. I wonder if Kathy was in pain and was treated rude and dismissive, would she care about the customer service she received? OF COURSE! So care about the customer service given and FIX IT!

I cannot begin to express how incredibly friendly the staff at the Surgcenter is. I was there on two occasions and through both procedures they were kind, friendly, compassionate and helpful. They followed up or called before each procedure and were just wonderful. Can't say enough about this business.

Really nice and caring staff. The facility is clean and well maintained. They clearly know what they are doing and it's clearly a seamless crew working together to get you fixed up and out the door.

Just had surgery here! The staff were all clearly super busy but they were all very friendly and easy to communicate with. The doctors were great as well!

Had my surgery July 27 rotator cuff surgery i was in a lot of pain before surgery everything was explained I had some type of nerve block to help me cope with the pain thank God I had that done I did not have to resource to pain medication strong winds Janice app down for whatever hurtles surgeries are painful I did not have pain at all the first five days and the surgery was a success it is help me a lot thanks to the doctor Dr. writer and his staff they were all wonderful from the minute you walk in to the minute you leave they are all amazing
