14 year old guest Joy accidentally dialed 911 on her phone this morning. One of your officers arrived shortly after this happened to make sure all was OK. We appreciated his quick response and he even let us take his picture with Joy. Please thank him again for us. Barb Rehfeld -15887 W.Clear Canyon Dr. Surprise
Officer Groenewold is a very nice cop and hes very good looking. He reminds me of a cop from a tv show. He did an amazing job of helping me when he responded to a situation at my house regarding a stolen fire hydrant. I wasn't sure if i should call the police or the fire department but im glad the police showed up with Office G.
My daughter and I were in a DV situation this morning and nothing was done. No pictures. No charge. No emergency order of protection. I'm in shock. Protect and serve. I've tried to reach out with no call back. I have pictures. We deserve justice. If you look at his, history it's all DV but you didn't.
We just recently moved from Colorado where 3 of our neighbors were police officers and we knew them for years. That said, our involvement with Surprise PD has been nothing but outstanding! Getting to talk to and know all of the officers that are on duty at CCV Surprise, they are all very professional and kind. We had an incident with our daughter’s phone being stolen at a Shadow Ridge dance and contacted Surprise PD. The response was extremely quick and with great communication. They called multiple times to keep us in the loop of what was happening. Officer Ebey went well above and beyond to find it and return it! All of the officers that I knew in Colorado would have not done what she did to help. I know a stolen phone is very low priority for them but they did take it seriously and we had it back within 2 hours. Overall, we should all be thankful that we have such a great PD in Surprise and a huge thank you to Officer Ebey! We appreciate all that you do! Stay safe Surprise PD and thank you!
I do not feel safe in this City. The police are more concerned about the criminals than the victims. When I have had to call the police the response time is ridiculous. I requested a meeting with the Chief and I did not even get a returned phone call.
I'm living in Ireland. My uncle who is 92 lives alone in Surprise. I had been trying to phone him for almost a week without success. In desperation I phoned Surprise police to see if they could call to see if everything was OK. The officer I spoke to on the phone was very considerate and kind and told me he would send a patrol car to the address. This he did and the officers that called to the address spoke to my uncle and helped him find his phone. They then got him to phone me to let me know he was ok. Well done and thank you Surprise PD. The citizens of Surprise should be very proud of you.
Our men and women at the Surprise Police department are the nicest, friendliest police force around. I have met many in my time here in Surprise and I have to say I am proud to shake their hand and thank them for their service. To all the negatives, usually those are the ones BREAKING the law. Respect the law, respect the community you live in and RESPECT the women and men in uniform who protect us. 'Nuff said.
I've never had an issue with Surprise PD...until I actually had to call Surprise PD. I do NOT recommend ever calling the "non-emergency" line for Surprise PD assistance. A female employee who answered the line by the name "Summer" has No phone etiquette and has No customer service skills. She should NOT be answering phones or needs actual hands on refresher course on customer service skills/etiquette. Those online computer based training courses have taught her nothing, but I'm sure she received a certificate of completion. She speaks over you and does not allow you to answer the question she asked, but will continue on to another question. I hope someone else calls in the sounds of constant "rapid fire" heard out towards The White Tank Mountains. The community is not priority to employee "Summer".
Apparently the only people that get pulled over in Surprise for speeding are minorities. I was pulled over for going 33 in a 25 mph zone which I own up to. However, I would like to know why others who aren't of mixed descent are allowed to go 50+ and NEVER get pulled over. I have called on numerous occasions that they need to patrol 137th Avenue after 5 PM, because as soon as rush hour comes by, almost everyone is speeding excessively. If the Surprise PD continues refusing to act, I will be forced to push for oversight of them by the Surprise City Government. I will not sit idly by while their inaction poses a risk to pedestrians and pets in my neighborhood.
