As a local I’m disappointed to see how skimpy they’ve gotten with the fish in specialty rolls. There was barely any eel in the unagi roll, refer to the pic for a visual. I don’t mind paying a premium for good sushi but this came with a high price just for rice and veggies. Rolls are also tiny compared to other sushi restaurants. Maybe it’s because it was a take out order? Sad to say this is the last time I’ll be visiting since there are other competitors in the area.
Nice quiet little place. We tried the crab wontons not pictured, Pure Butterfly, Big Fish, Vegas, and Sunset rolls. Delicious! Vegetarian options: I noticed on the menu that they have quite a selection of vegetarian options compared to other sushi places which is pretty nice :
Great casual spot that had very fresh fish and well constructed dishes. Some of the best sushi I've had in Seattle. Thought the unique Sunset roll was a great value. The food did take a very long time to get to the table. I would recommend that they either decrease the number of tables or decline some takeout orders to serve their dine-in customers faster in the future.
Love this place Good diversity of rolls Plenty of other options to choose if you have a non sushi person Great staff always friendlyFood: 5/5
By far the best family owned sushi restaurant. Super high quality and fresh fish. Most importantly, they are allergen friendly and willing to customize the dish. So many sushi rolls and dishes are gluten free, but not advertised. Their "house" sauces are gluten-free and they know exactly what could be cross contaminated. This place is great for anyone with celiac. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Sushi Cafe is my go to place for sushi! The freshness and quality of the items on the menu are the best! I've been a customer for years and I've never had a bad experience. If you're looking for a new place for sushi, I highly recommend Sushi Cafe. You won't be disappointed.Food: 5/5
Craved sushi and made our way to this small and quaint restaurant. I think they only really have 4 or 5 tables and a sushi bar. Not recommended for large parties as their largest table probably only fits 5. I'm sure they can combine the tables, but still do not recommend large parties. The sashimi platter was awesome. 15 pcs for about $26 I believe. The sashimi was fresh and tasted so good. Melt in your mouth good. We had 2 rolls pink pearl and fancy pants. All of those were delicious!! We started with a tempura plate. It was ok. The batter for the veggies seemed different from the shrimp. The shrimp had the crunch and texture of tempura batter and the veggies had a chewy batter. I missed that crunch. So l'll probably pass on the mix tempura and only order shrimp tempura if that is an option. It's a great place for dates and quick eats for lunch. Will definitely come back in the future. Parking: Depending on the time you go, parking can be difficult. It's a small lot that is shared by multiple businesses.
I’ve come here many times over the past few quarantined years, it’s well worth the visit. My favorite is the pure butterfly roll, but al their unique rolls are worth trying. Delicious miso soup, and surprisingly tasty Singapore noodles, too.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
My other half and I found this place at 9pm after a 5 hour drive from Idaho. We were the only/last people in there, which was awesome. We got a total of 6 rolls and 2 appetizers for 2 adults and 2 kids. The sushi was phenomenal and the appetizers were hot and fresh. The sushi chefs let my 2 small kids sit at the bar so they could watch them make their rolls.. Great place. Will come back next time we are in the area. Good service too
My go-to place for lunch! I work around the area. Dine-in is finally open, there's also outdoor sitting. Waiteress all all cute looking and accomodating! Their yakisoba is so juicy and tasty, make sure you order shrimp! Sushi is great, you'll be like oh-ah! What's that on my sushi?! Coz it's a variety of good taste in every bite. Love the sprinkled spice on the edamame. And their miso tasted like the instant packet from grocery store, nothing special but it taste really good. Tempura is different Everytime, last time it was great, 2nd time it was bland. But the dipping sauce is good. Over-all I highly recommend this place if you're in Renton Highlands.
