Susquehanna Park began in 2006 when neighbors decided to reclaim neglected lots and turn them into positive community space
What was once a jungle of 6' high weeds attracting criminal activity is now a beloved community green space thanks to the hard work of neighbors. Over time neighbors built playground equipment, fences and flower boxes using wood reclaimed from demolished houses on the block.
The next project is the Susquehanna Garden which will be located to the rear left of the playground stretching to the ally. Circle Thrift kindly donated money for our fences and raised beds which will be constructed soon.
