Nice campground, good sites although not a lot of tree coverage, good facilities and nice staff. They had a lot of activities for kids and the pool was great. There is a drive-in attached which is wonderful. Wifi was available for purchase but was very expensive $8/day. Overall a nice place.Rooms: 4/5
Took kids there a few times now . Kids love it very family friendly camp ground . Nice clean play grounds. Also, nice pools . They haved planned activities for the kids to for example we went down when they hosted Halloween weekend for the kids diring the summer . The decorations and the atmosphere there was more then i expected. I had a great time little lad had a good time . I well go back again . He still talks about it to this day
The stuff for the kids pool/ bounce pad ext are fun, however it is so close to the hwy it made it impossible to sleep, not to mention they do not enforce quiet time, people next to us had music blasting until 1 am. We paid for an electric site, but there was no working power, I called just after 7 and the office was already closed. When I brought it up the next day at check out they just smiled and said " oh no ".
This is a very large campground but only has one shower facility with two showers. It is overrun with seasonals but they keep to themselves. My sloped site required 4x4 to back up into with my 30ft trailer, no one mentioned the incline on check in. All the services are at the back of the site requiring 3 slinky hoses to reach. Lots for kids to do here but I couldn’t stay outside around my firebowl because of the strong sewer stench day and night. That and the added feature of a midnight quiet time and they charge $5 for each hour you are early, reinforced my decision to never come back here. It was almost the end of my return from a cross Canada trek and the worst KOA I had been in.
Way over priced for what it is , packed in like sardines and if you’re tenting like our friends we’re they are fine with you being in a literal swamp for the weekend. Luckily we had our trailer and they could stay with us for 98% of the time. Complaints were made at the office and just brushed off. Zero compassion for the people paying to stay there. We are avid campers but will not be back.
I was so excited for this stay, sadly this was the worst trip I’ve ever been on. We had an emergency and needed to leave, we came back and next day… they had thrown out all of our belongings accept a cell phone, everything was wet and in with other moldy things in there trash bins. And they have one of our mattresses away. I would not recommend staying here if you may possibly need any type of understanding or kindness. Noteworthy details: I don’t recommend!!!!
Very disappointing experience. Tiny long grassy site with absolutely NO privacy trees. We were literally an arm's length away from the back of a seasonal trailerI'm sure they weren't thrilled either. Site not even long enough to park our vehicle. We booked last year in December for a week. Not returning.Location: 2/5
We were so excited to go there. We had rented a tent lot where the apple trees were mainly because we wanted to be close to the park, pool and jumping pillow because of the kids. We get there and apparently we had been moved to a different section were their were no trees far from the playgrounds and very wet. It was so wet we couldn’t bring our vehicle on our lot. We had to park it across the roadfrom the lot. They had recently mowed the lawn and their was alot of mowed grass everywhere. So i went to tell them it has to be raked cause of allergies i can’t be touching the mowed grass i’ll break into red itchy rashes. They show up with a rake and say their u go. My husband had to rake it himself. Quiet time is midnight till 8am. Well it was very loud after well pass midnight after the second night we packed our stuff and left. Will not recommend this KOA. Again very disappointed. They should be advertising customers their is an active train track right beside the campground. On the first night 4 trains went by. On the second night 2.
Went there for fishing. Tent there for one night. Caught nothing, but the river behind the campsite is gorgous, private, and entertaining. I practiced my first fly cast there, few trees and branches make it a ideal place for fly fishing. The camp site has the best grass field in both Camper and tent area in my mind. Washroom and bathroom are located properly across the campsite, near to play ground, near to tent sites. If one thing may make it not perfect for others, maybe the nearby railway near to the tent site . 2 or 3 trains a day. I am quite enjoying it, the sound and the shake of the ground make me travel back to my childhood. And insite tractor tour is quit fun for kids.
A great stop! Clean, well maintained, level sites. Washroom and shower facilities are clean. Kids amenities are well maintained and well located. There are 2 pools to choose from and one of them has a very shallow wading pool for toddlers. The campground is quiet and peaceful. Very friendly and kind service - they called us a couple times before our arrival to confirm details and/or provide additional information about our site & reservation. This is the only KOA that has ever done this for us. This campground seems to be very well managed. There is a large drive-in movie theater on the same property. A fun attraction to take advantage of during your stay. Note: movie tickets are extra but very reasonable.
