Suwannee PAWS, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charitable organization, founded and opened in 2014. Our services are available to everyone, regardless of county of residence. The main goal of SPI is the reduction of pet overpopulation and animal shelter euthanasia by promoting affordable, early-age spay and neuter services. This is an extension of Dr. Daniels’ work at similar organizations in this same field since 2008. (See history on main website and also LinkedIN). We have moved the business closer to home in Live Oak Florida, which is a central, accessible location for many via local roads (Highway 90 and US 129), Interstate-10 and Interstate-75.
At this time, we are focusing on high-volume reduced-cost spay and neuter (HQHVSN), with additional general outpatient medicine as the schedule allows. We adopt the ASV 2016 Veterinary Medical Care Guidelines for Spay-Neuter Programs at our facility. We would like to reinforce that this is not a substitute for a good relationship that you may already have with a veterinarian of your choice; we are not available after-hours for general emergencies and cannot take in sick or ill animals at the facility, simply due to the large number of animals we will have each day for surgical alteration (including many feral cats). We recommend that sick or severely injured animals go to a traditional full-service veterinary clinic which will have dedicated staff for each sick patient.
Our primary goal is to work with private citizens, military families, shelters, rescue groups, and feral/community cat groups to provide sterilization surgery and basic care. We welcome new clients and are eager to serve this and surrounding counties even in South Georgia. Please come by, read our literature and become informed about early-age spay and neuter surgery especially in live-saving adoption situations involving a local animal shelter.
