Description

My husband and I purchased the Rendezvous in December of 2008 and are excited to call it home. I grew up on a resort in northern Minnesota and so resort life is something I know.

My brother Dan has joined us. He has kayaked most of the local rivers and can help you plan your canoe or kayak trip. My parents, Dale and Dale Saethre live with us here at the Rendezvous.

With over 50 years of resort experience, we should have the resort running well. We invite you to join us on the beautiful Suwannee River.

Pretty decent RV park. We stayed in the original part of the park. Pretty tight spots, our sewer hookup was actually under the neighbors grill...eek!! The second phase seemed nicer and had concrete pads, etc. Lots of locals hanging in the park. Beautiful spring, right on the river. SO MANY activities. You name it they got it and more! Dog park, live music, chicken poop bingo...yes its a thing. Very family friendly.
This is a camp RV resort with a natural springs at it . Lots of stuff to keep the whole family happy. Swim in the springs or the pool , the redneck bowling alley and human pool room is so cool they are still working on making it better but lots of fun. Offer activities and sell food on weekends. Just opened a new adult side 21 and over-themed like the Florida Keys.
Shouldn't be able to give any stars as I never got to stay there. I phoned in early April to make a 3 day reservation. My dog got very ill and the vet advised me no travel for 3 days. I phoned less than 24 hours after making my reservation to cancel. I was told I needed to give them 8 or 10 days advance notice to cancel. I reiterated how could I possibly give them such a notice when I made the reservation less than 24 hours ago. I made several more phone calls to explain my situation to no avail. In conclusion I was credited back less than $50 and charged over $150 for never spending a day there. The office staff is nonprofession and treated me as stupid. So I decided after several months to write this review. The staff has no compassion and talks down to customers. Buyer beware it maybe a nice resort, but I will never know.
I was there many year's ago with my family of 11, some of them stayed on top of the restaurant room, I think at that time we rented the first cabin built there. It was so much fun and I always wanted to go back. I hope God grace me with a trip this year. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us. Rooms: Clean and with everything you need available. Nearby activities: Super fun.. Safety: We all felted safe at all time. Walkability: Close and fun
This is a camping destination along the Suwannee River. All kinds of camping, from tents and hammocks to RV's. Rentals as well. Convict Springs is a swimming hole, a pool really, and refreshing to use. We were kayaking down the river, pulled in for lunch, restrooms, and a brief swim along with a terrific lunch. Super friendly and helpful folks, be sure to visit while in the area. Wonderful ice cream I should add.
This place is awesome! It has a very communal feel to it. There is a resident pig, cat, dog, ducks, chickens, and pigeons. It has a beautiful spring you can swim in, or kayaks to rent, playground for the kids, swimming pool with hottub, pigeon races on the weekend, and chicken poop bingo. Small store in main cabin, with games, videos, and books you can borrow. Be sure to bring bug spray and a fishing pole. A few tent spots are directly on the rivers edge with beautiful views. Sleeping options range from tent spot to family cabins. Rooms: Our room was nice, and it smelled good for a cabin. It had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, TV, internet, sink, shower, and toilet. Nearby activities: If you rent kayaks, they will drop you off at 1 of 3 different boat launches, depending on how far you want to paddle. 4hrs 6miles or 6 hours 12 miles Food & drinks: Due to the fact we stayed Monday- Thursday, Grandma Susie's Cookin Shack wasn't open. Big menu with lots of options, though. We did, however, find an amazing country buffet for $13 at Sisters Buffet, highly recommended. We visited numerous times that week. Playground: The playground is located in the middle of the camp. Has a rope swing, tether ball, swings, old tires, and a structure to climb on. Dog-friendliness: Your dog must be kept on leash at all times. Their dog is not, though.
How is to not give people a hard time to swim in the spring. I've swam it twice with no issues. Then after renting kayaks we wanted under water footage and the lady was extremely rude. This was 2020 my friend went in and gave her a piece of her mind how it's not right. " She says we would have to enter from the river " what no we just rented from you the other two times no issues. She eventually gave us 10 mins. I found a fishing line with a hook that could have gotten someone tangled I got the line and hook out. Yw
Get a grocery run in before you stay assuming it's at least a week. Remote location, but awesome! Check out the benches on the hill by the river with a cup of coffee at sunrise.Service: 5/5
What can I say? This place is a number 1 pick for any camping enthusiasts. High recommendation for them. There are too many things to do to write here. Make that reservation when you can. Not gonna disappoint...Rooms: 5/5
We stayed at this RV park for 2 nights in April and it was awesome! We would definitely stay again and for much longer. We had site 130 which is a pull thru and it was plenty big for our Rig that is 40' towing a 14' trailer and also fit a car in the site. Area to get into site was easy to navigate with our big setup. Hookups were easy to manage and clean and well placed. Staff is amazingly friendly both on the phone and in person. Check in was a breeze. Lots of stuff to do in the area for outdoors people and tons of activities mainly on the weekends to do on site for both adults and children. Looked like many people there are snowbirds based on plates and the setups they have but there were also quite a few overnighters too. They are expanding and building new RV sites currently. Best part of this part is the ducks and Charlie Girl in the mornings by the pond. We took a day kayaking on the River and was very peaceful and nice and prices to rent the kayak is very reasonable. Saw a gator on the island while kayaking down the river and tons of Sturgeon jumping around our kayak. The springs are nice to enjoy if you are into that sort of thing too.
