This place was great! Easy place to tie up the boat and have a great lunch. Really good beer and a fantastic burger. Got the Mini Nightmare but there was nothing mini about it. Stella was out waitress and she was fantastic. Great experience, we'll definitely be back!Food: 5/5
This is a hidden gem on the St. John's River. Food was outstanding and same for service. I sat outside at the Tiki Hut facing the river. Yummy Rum Runners and fried catfish. Will definitely be back!Food: 5/5
Nice little local grill. I have been here a few times and it's a local hangout. I think they have room for improvement, but you really go here for the access to the water and the ability to bring your boat. Drinks are okay. Their mai tai was a bit rough, I don't know if they make it in batches, but it was a tough to drink. I ended up just getting beers after because it was not pleasant experience. Food is good, but I would hope they can work on the temperature from kitchen to table. Everytime I received my dish it was lukewarm. If you are in the area it's worth checking out.
Always busy! Which is great! Maybe need a couple more wait staff for the outside patio downstairs. But the food is good, beer is cold. On the river. What more do you need? EDIT:Normally we go up there on the boat, today took the waverunners. Sucked up 2 screws and a nail into the impeller from where the docks were rebuilt and apparently these were left in the water. Watch out!!!
We’re always a large party on Saturdays. We loved the ambience. Our waitress was great. The portions were good & our food was warm when it got to our table. Everyone enjoyed their meal. They even accommodated for my food allergy. We will definitely be back for more.
For the St Johns river vibe, nothing beats the back deck at sunset at the SwampHouse. Food is good and service is great. Ambiance can't be topped!Food: 4/5
Food, service and atmosphere was awesome. The key lime drink was delicious. My jambalaya was yummy. Not too hot but had a good amount of spice. The crab cake was the best. They were a little busy and had to wait 30 minutes. But we just browsed the gift shop.Food: 5/5
Edit: If I knew I would be arguing over how empty they were, I would have taken pictures. But I added one that shows only half the tables being used. If your half empty restaurant is too busy to handle, be honest about it, don't lie to your guests. Their reply tells you all you need to know about their character and how this place is run. A pregnant woman asking for a glass of water while we wait is not bullying. There were no tears, only empty tables from what we could see. How can you be full when half the boat dock was empty? Original review: Been several times, but my last trip prompted this 1 star review. Showed up with a small group, was told we would need to wait for tables to be cleared and it would be a couple minutes. No problem. 15-20 minutes later we're told they're still waiting for 1 table to clear. Still no problem, and if it's easier we can split between 2 tables. They don't want to split us, just a couple more minutes. The problem is when other groups of 7-10 people, who arrived after, are being seated. A manager comes over, we try to ask what's up, and it's just more excuses about why we're waiting 30+ minutes and others are being seated. It basically boiled down to "we don't want to, and you can take your business elsewhere". Great, thanks, that's what we did. Enjoy your half empty restaurant on a holiday weekend, when you should be packed, and servers should be making large tips. Two years of good experience ruined by whatever this was
We really enjoyed our lunch! We had Grouper and a Cuban Sandwich. Best of all was we had exceptional service by a young lady named Sydney. Service with a smile! She made sure our drinks were refilled promptly and she checked in to assure everything was how we liked it. Our experience was so good that we will make a trip back for a visit. Mike and Marie
This was a be back from several years ago....why so long....not sure but lunch was delish! Pork tacos and BBq chix sammie....with and order or corn fritters topped with powdered sugar. Sitting on the lovely St John's and situated in a RV park.....atmosphere was very nice
